Hamsters’ teeth should be firm, even, and healthy. Problems do occasionally arise, though.
Healthy teeth are an important element of your hamster's health
Broken or overgrown teeth are problems that need fixing. Rather than examining the teeth themselves, which is a tricky operation, look for other clues. Is the hamster not eating? is there any blood around his mouth? If so, take your hamster to the vet. See our How Do I Check My Hamster's Teeth? page for more information.
