Spring is the time of new shoots. The days are lengthening and the sun (when there is some!) is getting hot enough to start heating up the soil to help bring the plants back to life, including your spring bulbs.
It will soon be time to start cutting the lawn again! So make sure your wormery is in a place where it is easy to mow around.
As the weather warms up, keep an eye on the temperatures and frosty mornings, when these have gone, your wormery can come out of it's winter retreat or will no longer need the extra warmth it has been getting from the insulation you put round it.
From April onwards you can start sowing your herb seeds for a bumper crop of herbs in summer. You can also start sowing seeds for this year's crop of vegetables- your worm compost will be greatly appreciated by all your hungry seedlings.
