Hi! I love the handle on this and it's cute! It could be improved by making the egg holder a little wider so that they don't get knocked out easily. Also, I'd love it if they actually slid down. But if you get 24 in there then it's because you are putting them vertically and not on their sides. They don't slide in the vertical position. So perhaps making it taller would allow the space for 24 eggs and the ability to have them slide into position. With a few tweaks, would be perfect!

Love this skelter! It is really well made and is a great addition to my kitchen and is fully functional at keeping my eggs in lay order so I can use them in a good rotation.
Sometimes you need to give a nudge to get the eggs to roll down, but I expected that since eggs aren't perfectly round, but really that is the charm of it I feel.
Once my new chicks start laying I will definitely be buying another!

This is the 3rd egg skelter I’ve purchased thru Omlet. I love them all. My sister even has one now she loved mine so much! Very sturdy. Eggs don’t roll so quickly they crack.

Unfortunately it is not generous enough in size - when replacing eggs I have just removed from the bottom, eggs often roll over the side when I encourage them to roll down the slope. If the wires were a little further apart, the large eggs would sit in more deeply, making them more secure. Also, if the slope of the skelter were a little steeper, the eggs would roll down more easily.
I tried to attach a photo but unfortunately it was beyond my capabilities.

Not meant for odd shaped eggs - Cheryl, Texas,
I love the look of this shelter. Really wanted it but we have farm fresh eggs. Which means they're all different sizes and shapes. They just wouldn't flow through this without a lot of assistance. I've tried turning them around, upside down, YouTube. They just go sideways and block the ramp.

I like it but gone back to egg boxes - An Omleteer,
I bought 2 of these about a month ago and used it for the first couple of weeks but have now gone back to egg boxes. The design and quality are good, they just don't work for me. Firstly I keep eggs in the fridge and this wasn't so convenient to use in the fridge. Secondly the eggs lie horizontally on the chute, and when you remove the bottom one they're meant to all roll down. But what I found is that the eggs rotated as they rolled and ended up the other way round - then they wouldn't roll properly and in the end a couple fell out and broke :-( Also we get about 3 eggs a day so filled up the first one very quickly, then ended up transferring from the second one to the first one to make space, and that was a faff. Love the idea but didn't quite work for me. Would be much better for people who keep their eggs out the fridge, and don't get as many as we do.

I bought my first one around 2 months ago and absolutely love it. I even love that it doesn’t roll! There is a trick to packing them in so that it rolls nicely but I let my kids put them on and I don’t mind. I wish there was a version of this that could be wall mounted (obviously the design would need to be different) but I can’t find anything like that anywhere so maybe think about it omlet. I’m about to buy the bigger one now as they’re laying more eggs given that it’s warming up.

I recently bought this in red and am extremely happy I did. I took some other reviewers advice of placing the eggs pointy end inwards and it works perfectly everytime with both my large eggs and smaller eggs.

The Egg Skelter is well built, beautiful, and doesn't take up too much counterspace. My chickens just started laying eggs so their eggs are still small and fall through the wire tracks, but I imagine medium to large size eggs wouldn't have this problem.
