Now the nights are dipping below zero I feel happier our five hens are keeping warm but still with ventilation. They are still laying, so must be happy.

This is my second year with the Extreme Temperature Jacket and I am still really glad I purchased them. I have 2 Eglu Mk2 coops and one Go Up. I invested in these for all of them. They really are like a nice jacket. I’m not sure how much warmer the hens stay, but I do know that it adds a layer of insulation that keeps the heat the hens generate inside the coop instead of it escaping. That alone is worth it since they put out a bit of heat on their own. My ladies (all 11 of them!) are molting right now so I’m sure they appreciate the help in staying warm. Added bonus- these are super easy to clean. I throw them into my washer and dryer a few times a season. They come out clean and fluffed up. No shrinkage. I’m still impressed with the level of quality. There is no sign of wear and tear on these other than an oil stain they got while I was treating one of my hens for scaly mites last year.

It fit nicely on my large Eglu cube and keep my hens warm during freezing night. The blanket has string to adjust . The outer layer is breathable waterproof and the inside is a quilt comforter feel. I highly recommend this blanket for cold winter!

I am pleased I bought this extreme weather blanket as it is bitterly cold and snowing today , so it should keep our Perkins warm overnight and during the day should they want to go back into their Eglu

Luckily I got this just before the cold weather and although I haven’t received any comments from the occupants I feel happy they are warm and snug.It seems well made so hopefully will last.happy chickens and owner.

I absolutely love this cover for my eglu go. It’s well made, fits perfectly and I feel like I’m tucking my girls in at night when I close them up. Would highly recommend.

I purchased this in the summer ready for the winter. Some say that isnt needed but I am keen to ensure the chickens are warm. I put it on at a time of freezing fog. Really thick nice quality cover. Easy to fit, with hooks to hold down and pull chords to pull tight against the house
