Grub - Orange

The purpose designed eglu feeder or Grub to its friends is the best way to provide food for your chickens. It attaches to the run (both mark 1 and current eglu), keeps food dry and can be cleaned in a dishwasher. Will keep four chickens fed for two days.

           LOVE IT!

Perfect with my eglu cube (have a classic as well). Brilliant design

           Just what my hens needed.

- Alannabaker, 07 September 2014

I've tried using traditional feeders for my hens, but it was so hard to keep the rain off the grain and keep the hens from kicking it everywhere in search of the best bits. The Grub feeder has kept the feed dry even in the most torrential rain and seems very sturdy and hard wearing. (Great colours too!) It took a few days for the hens to get used to eating out of it as at first they didn't like putting their head inside, but now it doesn't phase them. The two openings in the Grub also mean no squabbles around the feeder. The hooks at the back of the Grub are little more than shallow grooves so it was rather awkward to get it set up in the chicken run as it kept falling off and I do not have a Grub & Glug stand or an eglu. I ended up having to use a file to deepen the grooves so it would be secure. Over all a worthwhile purchase.

           Another grub

My partner is now thrilled that I wont be buying any more grubs as I have the full set. Excellent quality product, as all Omlet products are! Very happy.

Would like it a bigger size

The grub feeder does the job, however the food can get stuck in the crevices on the inside where the feeder is moulded to hang on the run. I would have given this feeder a better rating if it was able to hold more food, it holds enough mash for 2 hens to last 3 days, 7 would be better.

           Great design and looks

Bought for our ducks (our hens already have one) Keeps the rain off, holds plenty and looks good. Good price - excellent value.
