So pleased with our new Eglu hutch and run. Really quick delivery, the materials are all great quality, clear and detailed instructions for assembly (which didn’t take too long) easy to clean and our two rabbits are loving their new home. 2

We Absolutely Love it!

This has been a long awaited purchase for us, with my son spending hours researching the right hutch for our two (half) continental giants - Fluffles and Chives. They are out in the garden in the day but safe and sound and warm at night in the Eglu Go. Joe (12) even now cleans out the hutch as its so easy. We had a shed before and it was always a bit of a chore. Joe set it up with my help, it wasn't hard to set up at all. Very much looking forward to building the rabbit habitat as and when we have saved up the pennies. 2

Our bunny has adapted brilliantly to her new outdoor home option. She has much more room to roam throughout the day and doesn't have to wait for us to get home to stretch her legs. I would love a built in space for a corner tray litter box. I will happily pay for a new tray option should one be available in the future. Tonks was 100% litter trained and upon her move outside, she began using the grass. I am worried about being able to bring her back indoors. We were hoping to still have her in our home as much as possible. 2

So far so good.

Assembling the hutch and run is never as simple as the video shows. Yet, despite old fingers and poor grip, I managed to do so (exactly the same unit as my Eglu Go-Up coop without roosting shelf but with added feature of basket for water and hay). I could not have assembled the run without help.
The whole unit is a safe haven for Dudley. Once settled, he was allowed free-range of his part of the garden, however, he is still content to spend time in the run even though the door is open.
Bedding was a bit of trial and error; Dudley piled all his bedding/hay at one end which, when I slid the base out, dropped down making it difficult to return tray to full position even after sweeping underneath. Perhaps the hutch design would have benefitted from a second tray (like the coop) but both designed for rabbit use rather than using one designed for chickens. Should there be a redesign of the slide-out tray to suit rabbits I would be more than happy to purchase it. Nevertheless, I have found a way to overcome this problem. Yes, it is easily moved once assembled.
All in all, very pleased (as is Dudley) with this purchase. Easily cleaned and, most importantly, safer for Dudley than a conventional hutch.
I know that Omlet’s products may not be the cheapest, but they are well worth the investment.

We previously had a double storey wooden hutch with a large run which needed replacing as it was getting worn. The eglu and run was a downsize from what our two dwarf rabbits had had so initially I felt a bit guilty swapping it out for this. The eglu and run are however well designed and the rabbits do seem settled. Ergonomically it's much easier to clean with the pull out tray which is much easier on the back and means the kids can help easily too with the cleaning. The shape of the run means rain water no longer settles on the run cover and just glides off which is great. We bought the full run cover which is really good quality and we've left it on permanently as the shape of the run still gives plenty of daylight and the right amount of shade.
We've been able to move the eglu and run around the lawn which means the rabbits always have grass to graze on now which is a big plus.
I like the hay feeder and water bottle are out of the light so stay cool and fresh for longer. I did think the water bottle was leaking and ordered a replacement which also leaked but then customer services explained I needed to fill the bottle to the top and shake out any air bubbles which did the trick.
You do need to keep on top of cleaning the eglu daily though as the eglu is a compact size with sleeping and eating all in one are a and our rabbits do poop and pee a lot when eating. We also switched from using sawdust to carefresh as the sawdust got inside the grooves.
The product is well made but if it was cheaper I would have bought it a few years ago when I first looked at it. The instructions to put it together are useless and took longer than the estimate, thankfully my 13 year old figured it out. 2

Loving my eglu. I have 4 Guinea pigs in it and they are loving it too. Easy to clean out with the removable tray. Not the easiest thing to build but did it singlehandedly. Would recommend. Don't know if it would be warm enough in the winter but as I house them inside in the winter this is not an issue. 2

I have been considering buying this for a few years , wish I had done it sooner , my rabbit loves it he had a wooden hutch before with large run but never went inside the hutch , sits inside his new hutch all the time , and it is so easy to use compared to a wooden hutch 2

Great for our tortoise

Really good quality! We bought this as needed a fox-resistant run for our tortoise. It's great as can be moved around, giving him the opportunity to eat dandelions from all corners of our lawn. He can easily access the hutch and doesn't need a ramp.
Putting the run together was a bit of a challenge...we had to watch the video online as some of the picture instructions were unclear. 2
