Just to let you know, Omlet is open! Please see here for more information.

Introducing Omlet's first ever Automatic Chicken Coop Door - the safest and most convenient way to let your chickens in and out of their coop has arrived! Designed to work with any wooden chicken coop, it can also be attached directly to the Eglu Cube Mk1 and Mk2. Omlet's automatic chicken coop door opener is battery powered and combines both a timer and a light sensor, giving you the ultimate options for flexibility and control. The unique integrated frame and door design comes with everything you need to attach it to your chicken house or run and has been tested to work down to -20degC. Like a personal chicken coop concierge, the Autodoor will always make sure your chicken’s coop is securely closed at night even when you’re running late.

The Omlet Automatic Chicken Coop Door has a powerful electric motor and metal gear that is directly mounted on the door frame for maximum security. Unlike other automatic chicken coop door openers that work on a string and pulley system, the Omlet Autodoor cannot be simply lifted up when shut. This means that predators will not be able to move the door when it is closed, no matter how hard they try. Your chickens can sleep soundly knowing they have the most secure automatic door in the world.

The light setting uses a sophisticated light sensor to automatically open and close the door at a specific and adjustable light level selected by you. An optional time delay can be added so that the door operates up to an hour after dawn or dusk to suit your flock’s routine. The light sensor has built-in intelligence to recognise and ignore temporary illumination from a security light or torch and will only open after a consistent period of light above the threshold set by you. This ensures that your chickens stay safe and protected at all times and, unlike other less advanced automatic doors, you won’t have any unwanted openings in the middle of the night.

Another way to operate the Omlet automatic chicken door is by using the time setting. This allows you to set an exact time for the door to open in the morning and close in the evening. The advantage of this setting is that you have complete control over your chicken’s environment and you can set the Autodoor to meet your specific daily requirements. The control panel also has a manual function which allows you to open and close the door independently of the time or light settings and, for total peace of mind, there is a built-in failsafe system for opening the door completely by hand.

Four AA batteries are all that is required to power the Omlet Autodoor, negating the need for a nearby power source and additional wiring. The door has been endurance tested under battery power and you can expect a set of batteries to last for a minimum of 6 months.

Wow! Super satisfied—highly recommend. - CA,

I had originally purchased an auto chicken coop door from Amazon for $150. It was a total pain to set up, the quality was substandard at best—and to top it all off, it almost killed one of my chickens. She is okay, but since the accident she has a way different personality. It’s really sad. When this coop door came back in stock it was a no brainer. Just by watching videos of it I knew it would be better than what I had. I returned my piece of **** door to amazon and bought this. It just arrived today (9/15/20). I seriously couldn’t be more happy. It fit great on my custom made coop and took only a moment to install. It feels and looks great. Even though it’s plastic, it is very high quality. The controller is very well built, easy to use, and has a high grade feel to it. I am super super happy with this item. Man I wish I had this sooner. Everyone should have one of these on their coops. Just feels nice knowing you can spend an evening out with your girls being well taken care of. You can also sleep in without worrying about them being all cooped up. A cool feature to add would be an app that tells you if it’s open or closed for when you’re out of town. Either way I’m super pumped on this product. Highly recommend.

Love this!!! -

having this automatic door has allowed me to have chickens. I have a very busy life and i can't always get down to the hen house to open it early in the morning or after sunset. This door allows me to visit with the chickens to provide their food and water on my time. They are kept safe at night from predators. It was easy to install on the house my husband built. this is very well built and easy to use. thank you!!!

I did a lot of research regarding automatic chicken doors including talking to others who had the door on a local chicken FB page. All this before settling on the Omlet Auto Door. Im so glad I got this! So easy to install and tge safety feature was a big factor. Loved it so much, I ordered a second door. GREAT PRODUCT!

Love the door hate the instructions for the control box for that a 4 star - CT,

The door is working great ,the instructions for the door were exact however , the instructions for the timer were horrible it took double the time to get the controller all set ,you need the instructions to be clear as for dummies exp is time maybe I should have know time of day but I did not it should have indicated now put time of day ,you need to make improvements on this , however now that all is set I had to call my sister in Maine who has this door to help me set up the controll box took 3 of us but now all set and I am very happy

Just buy it -

I made the mistake of buying a cheaper, weight-based model before buying the Omlet door. Don't make the same mistake as me. This is the best automatic chicken door on the market. You will be able to sleep past the first light, it's easy to install on any coop, and hens take to it quickly. We've had this for almost two months, and still haven't had to switch out the batteries. No issues with predators. It's a keeper, and well worth the price.
