No Waste Chicken Feeder - 12lb

To keep the feed fresh we recommend you position your chicken feeder in a sheltered location avoiding rain from any direction, or too much direct sunlight.

Hens need 120 grams of feed per day. You will find your feed goes further due to no waste from the feeder.

This chicken feeder is suitable for crumble, scratch and pellets.

However, it is not suitable to use with particularly dusty feeds, wet/fermented food or grit.

The feeder is suitable for all types of chicken breeds, including bantams.

If you opt for hanging your feeder from the roof of your run you can also adjust the height to suit your flock; set the height so that the bottom edge of the feeding ports are level with the backs of your chickens.

The feeder has only been designed for, and tested with, chickens, so we don’t recommend using it with other poultry.

The product has been designed for and only tested with adult chickens, so we don't recommend using it to feed chicks.

The height of the ports will not be low enough for them to reach the feed, and we can't guarantee that the design will work as effectively with chicks.

The chicken feeder has only been tested with adult chickens, so we do not recommend it to be used by other animals.

You can hang the feeder from the handle in an upright position with the legs of the feeder taken off. Adjust the height of the ports so that it’s at a comfortable height for the smallest chicken in your flock to eat.

Make sure the structure you're hanging your feeder from and the hook you are using will be able to handle a weight of at least 22lb/10kg.

The feeder is not rodent proof, but should not attract them if you don’t already have a rodent problem. Spilt feed is the main cause of pests, and with the anti-spill features of this feeder this won’t be a problem. To minimise the risk of rodents, remove the feeder from the run at night when the chickens have gone into the coop.
