Blanket is nice and thick and heavy. Fits nice over my cube but the zipper gets tight as you round the corner (s). I hold my breath each time I open and close (to clean the droppings tray) hoping it doesn't break.

I purchased this item as minus temperatures are a regular event in the Highlands. I am so delighted with this item and can confirm it increases the coop temperature by 3 degrees. Very happy hens.

So I’ve had the large eglu for about 16 years now and I purchase an eglu go up to accommodate new chickens brought in to integrate with my other girls. Because the new girls are happy in the eglu go up I bought a jacket for that one too. Not only does it keep them warm I find during the times fireworks are about 5th Nov and NY I would hope sounds would also be muffled and the girls would feel less nervous. I would not be without the extreme weather jackets and although quite pricy they are worth the money

This is well made and provides another level of protection regarding holding in more heat. Easily attached in minutes. The removable back is a good idea as it covers vents on door reducing heat loss and wind penatration. The only gripe I would have is that it would benifit from having a lift up flap to allow access to the manual door operating handle, this could be designed to be held down with velcro and would remove the need to lift the cover to open and close the coop door. But not a huge inconvenience for the short period of time the blanket will be in use.

The blanket keeps our hens warm when the temps drop. Easy to put on and take off.

I bought this for my girls as it was recommended to me it is light and fits well on the coop to give my girls extra warmth in winter x I too would recommend

Chickens have been a new experience and the blanket was peace of mind for the cold weather we have been having.

I like the extra insulation for the girls in the winter. It’s like they are all bundled up. Makes me feel better! 😊
