Texas called and we answered, arriving fully booted and ready for House Beautiful’s 8th Whole Home Showcase in Austin. This annual event brings together designers, makers, and home enthusiasts from across the country to explore how style, comfort and wellbeing can shape the way we live. Set in the heart of Austin for this year, the Showcase offered the perfect backdrop for bold ideas, inspiring spaces, and conversations about what “home” really means.

This year, we added a dash of Omlet to the mix. Across the weekend, guests joined us for a practical chicken keeping workshop that sparked curiosity, and inspired the group to consider starting their own flock. We hosted a sun soaked brunch while our friendly flock made plenty of new fans during relaxed meet the chickens sessions. To top it all off, chef Colter Peck shared a delicious Japanese fluffy pancake recipe using the freshest of hen eggs.

It was modern living reimagined with warmth, creativity, and just the right amount of feathers. And for us, it was a joy to see how thoughtful design and chicken keeping can coexist beautifully.
