Bought this recently - mainly to make it easier to have the odd night away but actually have also found it great on a day to day basis. The optional light comes on five minutes before the door shuts in the evening which seems to encourage any that are still up to head up to bed. The light goes off immediately after the door closes which settles them down nicely. Because our run is covered, we find it easier to set to times rather than to daylight; it is easy to set. The auto door is great as often we are out to work before it is light so we can put the food in and then leave the hens safe until the door opens. At the weekend we can have a lie in because the door will let them into the run - they have water and we just pop the food in when we get up. This also has the benetit of keeping the house cleaner as if we are a bit late up they are not pooping in the house. The only downside we have found so far is that sometimes the rooster plonks himself in the doorway and refuses to move- in this case , the door will try to close a few times but if he stubbornly refuses to move the door will default to open. He is getting better at going in so we are hopeful that he will get the hang of it like the hens have. Usefully the display panel shows the battery status but it is not running down quickly despite the rooster doing his best to use it up. We deliberated for quite a while before getting the auto door but we are very glad we did. It isn't cheap but it works well. Omlet in our opinion sells great quality products and customer service (should you need them) is second to none.

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago and my cat Mowgli loves it. He rarely sleeps anywhere else… in fact, I now miss him being a lap cat but he looks so comfy so I’ll suffer it. I was very impressed with the quick delivery and customer service.

Wish I'd had it from the outset. I'm sure chicken is more comfortable out of the wind & she's happier! It is actually made from stronger material than I was expecting.

recently purchased! speedy delivery. easy to assemble, especially if you watch the video first. so easy to clean and so easy to move around. very secure I feel my hens are safe. we have big pythons and goannas here and I am comfortable. As its so easy to clean and there are no dark spaces for mites etc I feel my 2 girls Brahmas have one less worry. My wooden hen house I am constantly dealing with bugs, mice and ants so the eglu is a delight

Absolutely love it, the most economical way to create a movable chicken run or if you want something that won't alter or damage your yard. Very easy to install, chickens love getting out into the fresh air to look for their own bugs, gets the job done keeping them where you want them. We used a couple of 7 foot Sheppard hook plant stakes to put nylon bird netting over them as we live next to woods with a pond, bringing in lots of birds of prey. So far so good, chickens are staying in and birds of prey are staying out! We love it! The chickens have also been laying more eggs this started a few days later after we installed it. I attribute it to letting them roam, happier chickens :-)

Purchased for mobility option and easy clean up . Plan to use as brooder for our chicks / top removed and just the tray left in . Will put it all back together and move outside when chicks are ready . Chicks arriving next week .

We have had the automatic door attached to a non-omlet coop for over a year. We have it set to sun up and sun down. It has worked great, even in freezing Michigan weather. And we still have 50% battery. One of the screws came loose once and hindered it from working, but after tightening the screw, it worked perfect again. I recommend this for everyone.

We are very happy with this coop. This is the first time we have had chickens. We have 9 and they all fit comfortably. It is so easy to clean. They are about 18 wks old and have not started laying eggs yet so we have that area closed off for now. I can’t speak of the laying area as of now, hopefully soon. I live in Arizona and we are having quite the winter so far. Below freezing temps and high wind. This coop holds up well and chickens seem to be keeping warm. They are all healthy and appear happy. Summer gets hot so I will have to update once it gets here.

I bought a 6' x 15' walk in run in August 2022. I am a senior lady and I assembled it without any help. Improvising a way to securely attach it to my wooden coop took some thinking and browsing on the internet but I finally found the perfect clamps. My four hens have a spacious and secure space and I am very pleased with the quality and appearance of the run. Covered with plastic to protect the girls from our Connecticut snow and wind....this run has allowed them to be outside every day. I love to go out and sit in the run and spend time with them. I also purchased the auto door and the interior light...both are indispensable ....solidly made and add to my enjoyment of the chickens. I plan to expand this run and recommend it highly.
