Although for the size these covers are pricey they are well worth it. The plastic is much more durable and tough compared to many tarpaulin you can get. The gutters are also a great feature and the rain runs right off them well. They’ve so far stood up to frost and snow well and suspect like all other Omlet products I have had will last many many years. My only issue I have with these is connecting them next to the side covers. I would like to put them over the top however this is difficult and therefore the rain runs down the inside of the side covers into the run. If Omlet can let me know a neat trick to avoid this it would be fab. I will certainly be slowly investing in more for the run, especially for next years inevitable ‘flock down’ due to avian influenza.

I bought these prior to the influenza flock down as I wanted them as wind breakers for the ducks. They are a very sturdy design, made from durable plastic but not too thick they can’t be bent around corners. I’ve popped one over the doorway to the duck run during this lockdown period for them to avoid any interaction with my regular garden birds. My only wish is I could get them closer to the ground as I feel like there is always a little gap at the bottom letting a draft in. Otherwise, love them.

Should’ve bought one years ago! Perfect safe home for my girls and they’ve settled into it well. So much easier than my Heath Robinson rig up last year to house them due to bird flu. Only criticism is the size of the gaps in the top half of the wire panels - they’re big enough for small wild birds to fly in, such as robins, so to be fully DEFRA compliant you need to cover the top with tarpaulin and add extra netting around top half. Despite those temporary measures, this is a brilliant product, and when we eventually read the instructions booklet (haha), it was easy to put together.

After spending £700 to comply with Avian Flu rules, I find starlings can ge through the larger mesh on the upper lever, roof and door. It also doesn't seem that strong with the wild windy weather. It has collapsed once already. Omlet kindly sent some replacement fastenings. Now we have to buy netting to stop the starlings getting in. It took far longer than 1.5 hours to erect too.

Premium product. Simple to put together (give yourself a couple of hours to do do so though). Easy to maintain and clean. Provides secure protection against those pesky predators. Thoroughly recommend.

We needed a new hen house when government rules were introduced requiring all domesticated birds be kept under cover during Avian Flu upsurge and decided to get an Eagle Cube with 2m run to go into a fruit cage. The instructions were a little iffy and need to be read before starting work so you understand how they're set out (there are overviews before the actual detailed instructions and some parts differ slightly in the manual from those actually supplied). But it all came together in the end and both hens and myself love it.

I bought the small Extreme Temperature Blanket for our Eglu Go Up. When minus temperatures arrived and we found ourselves with one sick chicken isolating from the other two, housed in an Eglu Cube with the larger Extreme Temperature Blanket on. I rely on these well made covers to provide our hens with extra protection from severe winter weather in north east Scotland. They are easy to fit, allow ventilation to get through, and we can still access the coop doors. I would certainly recommend them.
