I love my new Eglu, and won't regret the (huge) initial outlay as long as it proves to be as hardwearing as it promises to be. There were some issues with delivery that, to be fair to Eglu, were initially ParcelForce's fault, however it took rather a lot of nagging to get things sorted subsequent to this which was a shame. Even then I never received assembly instructions, however luckily there are mostly-up-to-date ones downloadable on the website. Once I had all the pieces and had assembled it the Eglu was a good size - I have 3 medium-large chickens and am grateful for the 1m run extension - the house allows plenty of room though. :) Having used wooden houses previously I am delghted with how simple the house is to clean... it makes the world of difference. I live in a residential area so ease of keeping clean (to minimise smell and risk of rats) was essential. I clean and disinfect weekly and it takes no more than 30minutes. The design is well thought-out and it is very easy to use in terms of opening/shutting coop and egg-collecting. Took the girls a few days to figure out the steps properly (it was very funny watching them slip and slide up/down them at first - poor chicks) but they now have it down. with no issues. :) The ony flaw is that whilst the wheels allow the coop to move very easily over hard floor, once on grass its far less smooth, especially if moving backwards (the cage bends if you push it so you have to pull while angling it simultaneously) - an extra pair of wheels would make life easier, or perhaps a stabilising bar horizontally around the run. Overall, although I still feel the price is steep, the Eglu is a quality purchase that mokes chicken-keeping a breeze. I love it and so do the chickens.

It took much longer than the estimated 2 hours to put together, however end result was good. I had hoped for one of the "fun" colours (pink, red) but only green or purple available in Australia. Have not yet purchased the chooks so can't say how they will like their home!

This Eglu has been fantastic. Love the rain proof feed container, the little rain tight house they have with adequate roosting perches, a comfy egg laying spot,great easy access to get the eggs,the slide out tray has been brilliant for ease of fertilising the garden with chicken manure and it 's so far been fox proof because of the skirt on it.

Purchased this as a boredom beater for my girls. Had it a while now but not actually caught any using it. With the awful weather we've had they spend a lot of time under cover. Hopefully with summer approaching may be able to tempt them.

The quality of main body of Eglu is high, it is a well made heavy duty moulding which is easy to assemble. Only had one awkward part to assembly of main coop and that was folding and fixing the 'rubber cops' correctly. The run and extension is a different matter entirely. Easy assembly took two people, for one it was possible but awkward. The panel clips were hard to use in cold weather, in fact I gave up with them and purchased a pack of 100 2.5mm x 100mm cable ties and used those as they keep the wire assembly panel joins closer together. Overall;- Eglu initial reaction excellent and pleased with purchase Run and extension:- not impressed given cost.

We've had chickens for about five years now, and the ladies always seemed happy enough in their wooden house. However, once it started to fall apart, the search for a replacement brought me to omlet. I liked the idea of the up being off the ground, and it does make reaching in and getting the eggs easy, and also does look as though it would have a good chance of withstanding a fox attack if the doors were shut at night. Really impressed by the quality of construction - looks pretty snug for the chickens at night - no wind whistling through wooden boards. Not a huge amount of room for 4 chickens though, and the shallow droppings tray means it needs cleaning more frequently than my old house. Why four stars and not five? It's actually slightly harder to clean than my previous house. I put paper over the droppings tray and laying area, which means those are a doddle - remove the paper, give the plastic a wipe down and you're done. The bars are more tricky, and I find the poo often sticks to them, meaning a stiff brush and vigorous rubbing are required before I can wipe down with a cloth and spray. Not a major headache, but not as easy as I'd expected. Overall, high quality chicken house, and as long as it lasts a good ten years or so, will pay back better than a couple of good quality wood alternatives.

The products I bought are great, do exactly what you advertise them too do. Very satisfied and would recommend your product to others without question.

The 2 m. clear cover with the gutter is okay. I have used it to put along the side which is doing a good job. I have bought a very large clear cover to put over the whole walk-in run which is recommended for market stalls. I think the 2 metre cover is fairly useless to put on the top of the walk-in run as the rain still blows in the side. Just a note - I think the walk in run is too high. As long as it is sufficient to just about stand up in it I don't think the extra height is necessary.

What an amazing idea. We have got very happy chickens, all trying to get on the swing at once, I will send photo's as soon as poss.
