Summary of what?
We are thrilled with the Eglu, it's practical, easy to use and clean. We have just purchased 25m of Omlet fencing, as we would have been unhappy not to have given them more space, and we have a large garden with insecure boundaries and a lot of hiding places, so it was tricky to let them roam freely. We are very pleased indeed with the combination, and the hens love it!

Perfect combination cover.
We bought this as the chucks aren't the most intelligent of birds and would end up soaking wet in the rain. Not on;y does it provide good cover for the Cube's 2 metre run, but it also provides shade in the summer (what we had of it..) and shelter in the rain.
On the odd occasion it becomes too hot and the clear part acts as a greenhouse, it can be folded back and fastened to just provide shade. Though, as mentioned in other reviews, it would greatly benefit from an extra fastening chords in the middle as it flaps a bit in the wind.

great product
After having had the eglu for several years I decided to go for the walk in run 3mx3m. I am extremely pleased with it. It looks great, easy to enter, easy to feed with the stable door, There is not one negative thing to say about it. Love it.

Canberra has just finished an extremely bitter Winter, down to minus 8 and quite a bit of snow but my "girls" have been very happy and productive through it all. Thoroughly recommend Eglu to anyone who cares about their productive friends. Peter Rudd Canberra

Great, keeping my indoor rabbit warm
I decided to buy this for my indoor rabbit as he was outgrowing his indoor cage. This is great, he really enjoys being outside, plenty of room to run around. Keeps him warm at night inside too

Fantastic
This is a wonderful coup. Easy to move and easy to clean. It is well thought out, as are all the Omlet products and well made. Highly recommended.

Perfect
I bought the pack of three, heavy duty wind protection covers to ho around the bottom of my eglu cube to make a shrelter for my chickens. It works very well, keeping the worst of the weather out and giving the girls somewhere to go when it rains. Each piece was quick and easy to fit onto the base of the eglu (I do not have a run) and has stayed in place even in strong winds. They do the job.
Review for: Heavy Duty Cover for Eglu Cube - Wind - Pack of three

I have two Eglu Cubes and an Eglu Go-up, all with extensions, plus a Walk-in Run. The Omlet chicken pens are excellent. Easy to assemble, easy to take apart or add to. Solid construction when in place, but also easy to move to fresh positions. The houses are extremely comfortable. Mine so far have been through very strong winds, heavy rain, very cold frosts (-7, -8!) - the chickens have been snug inside, with no moisture penetration and no condensation. They are very easy to clean, the trays slide out, litter replaced, floors wiped, reassembled, all in a matter of minutes with little effort at waist height. The nesting areas are appealing to the hens. Being in an area with many foxes, security is vitally important - the runs are themselves very fox-resistant with their strong mesh and extended “apron", but in addition, being able to shut the chickens in at night (from outside the house without disturbing chickens who have gone to bed) with-fox proof doors makes me able to sleep easy at night! The clear plastic covers for the pens are excellent in providing rain protection while letting in light. Omlet chicken runs are ideal for small flocks of chickens.

What are you trying to do to me?
I ordered a 3x3x2 cat cage on the Monday thinking I would have a couple of weeks to prepare a site. The pack arrived on the Friday; just four days to get to the east coast of Tasmania. My wife was over the moon, not only that; she read somewhere in the instructions it would only take one and a half hours to construct. I would like to meet the person who wrote that.
The instructions were easy to follow, and plastic fasteners used to hold the cage together were quite simple to clip on – they can be clipped using just one hand which is useful while holding the cage panels together with other hand, in fact after a while I was able to clip the fasteners with my eyes closed, which turned out to be useful when finishing the cage assembly late into the evening. I would so like to meet that person who reckons one and a half hours.
This cage has been designed for a perfectly flat base while most sites would have some slope or other.
I used earth sods to build a level footing – will it last? – I believe Offer’s Dyke was built with earth sods, (I wouldn’t recommend sods for chicken enclosures; chickens are the ideal machine for breaking up sods) but I digress.
Because of the raised footing, I dispensed with the perimeter base mesh, and instead used some 70x35 treated pine attached to the cage by means of some simple home made screwed clips.
To summaries:
[1] Instructions, - Adequate.
[2] Tools & Fasteners; - Only tool required is a philips head screw driver for the gate latch, - More than enough clips for the job
[3].Quality, - Workmanship on the whole generally good, welding a bit sus around the gate latches.
[4] Product – No pieces missing, Good quality coating. The plastic clips are not described as UV stabilised – surely Omlet wouldn’t overlook this, would they?. Also there is a design challenge here for a structure that can be built on sloping ground.
Here’s a tip for potential cat cage owners:
Because this is a lightweight cage I would suggest that any covers (shade or rain) be used, they should not be attached only to the cage, for a decent gust of wind could see it in the neighbour’s garden.
