love the cube and run, especially as it took so long to erect, with grumpy husband's help!! But the thing I HATE are the absolutely wrong roosting bar things, they are too wide and flat, am seriously considering changing them at vast expense to wooden broom handles, chickens hate flat surfaces and all my girls now pile up in the nest box, thereby making it very grubby, and depriving my compost of chicken poo. Please change design soon, should not be difficult.

The cube is fab. We love it and the chickens love it!

I recently bought the eglu cube for my six hens after having lost a hen to a fox. I had to wait quite a while to receive my cube but was definitely worth the wait! The product was easy to assemble and was completed in under 2 hours. My hens love their new home and took to it very quickly. They especially love the cosy nest box (although the ladder took a little getting used to, but now their fine). The eglu cube is fantastically easy to clean and maintain and makes chicken keeping far easier and you have the reassurance that your hens are far safer from predators. I have also recently purchased the extension pack for the run which is excellent, although I feel very expensive for what it is, although is a must I feel if you intend to shut your chickens in the run for long periods. All in all I feel the cube is an excellent product if as little pricey.

We found our glug tends to leak through the nipples. But worse problem is that chickens much happier to clamber on top and drink out of large holes than use nippes and so gets very dirty. Not useful for us at all. We have had to buy alternatives.

Our hens got used to this straight away and chose to use this more often than the usual water feeder.

Once done up, these make the run surprisingly rigid. They don't look like they'll last long as the plastic appears stressed once fastened, but OK so far. Good price with speedy (sensibly priced) delivery!

What a fantastic bit of kit! Chose the Cube instead of an Eglu as have seen so many people selling their's after a short time because they wanted to upgrade for the extra size, and wasn't disappointed. Comfortably takes our 4 ex-battery chickens and they got used to it within 24 hours of arriving with us. Does take a good couple of hours to assembly properly, but excellent build quality that will last for years and a very well thought-through design that is easy to maintain while being functional for the chickens and fun for our kids help with (our 4 year old already knows how to fill the 'grub' and collect eggs on her own!). Would highly recommend a Cube to any potential buyers, particularly 1st time chicken owners as comes complete with everything you need.

We really like our purple cube. It looks nice in the garden next to the Hebes and Lavenders but it's not perfect. The finish on the colour isn't great - it looks like it's been painted with a brush. Our cube also came with a reconditioned wheel unit - not new. Why would you pay this sort of money and expect this? Hopefully this was a one off. The product itself is good and our hens love it.

Funky and functional, robust and easy to clean. The run could do with a door at the back as well for easier cleaning out.

The construction of the Eglu Cube and run took me a lot longer than I expected. The most time consuming part was assembling the run section. Although the clips are very clever (and can be reused - which was good as I put the sides under the cube on the wrong way round so had to remove them and correct them!), I found that my hands were very sore at the end. I had a little problem with trying to put the side on where the door handle is as it didn't seem to fit because the front door handle was in the way, however I managed to solve this by pulling the door handle out and placing the hole over the handle. Now that the chickens have been living in the cube for a number of weeks, I am very happy with it. It is so easy to move and clean out. I have found that placing a sheet of newspaper on each dropping tray makes it easier to clear the droppings out. The only other comment I would make is that one of the hens, a white star, seems to have problems with the ladder when exiting the eglu and I think she injured herself. Looking at her her feet are a little smaller than our other hens, 2x black rcok and 1 x buff orpington. She seemed to slip when coming out of the door and trying to find the first run. She is ok now though as she just flies out and her limp has gone. Also love the accessories that came with the cube, the water drinker is very clever. thanks Stella
