Does exactly as it says on the tin!!

I've rated this item as 3 stars as I'm not sure whether the chickens are drinking out of it yet. It's certainly a brilliant idea - watch this space!

Overall a very easy to clean and maintain hen house, the fact that the hens have to roost on the slat floor means our 4 hens all end up piling into the nesting area though - very messy or requires eviction later on. If there was a way of having a raised perch this would possibly enhance roosting options I think. The couriers that are used for delivery are rubbish. Nothing ever arrives when it is scehduled (I have made two orders, cube and run extension). Dump them now!

I am really pleased with the cube - it gives my chooks plenty of roosting/laying room and is really easy to keep clean. I felt that the spaces between the rungs on the ladder were too big for my bantams and made an enclosed wooden one which hooks on. I like the original idea of it not reaching the floor as it deters mice etc. As weasels are a problem where I live I have covered the run in a smaller gauge green wire and secured with tie wraps and tent pegs. Whilst this was time consuming and cost about £40 I feel it was well worth the extra effort.

Having been really happy with my green eglu for nearly a year I felt it was about time to upgrade. Roy delivered my funky new cube and assembled it in time for my new arrivals. I have now expanded from 3 Omlet chickens (sadly Gladys passed away quite soon) to 8 mixed variety birds. Only thing I would say is that I really liked being able to completely take the eglu apart to clean - and am struugling with the best way to go about the same procedure with the cube - any suggestions would be gratefully received.

We can't fault the product its ease of use, and the design is excellent. The delivery was on time, the man who brought it was helpful & knowledgeable. The first egg arrived within an hour of the driver leaving. The after sales service has been good and supportive. When one of the hens appeared to be a bit off colour, an e-mail to 'Barbara' was quickly answered with helpful advice and reassurance. A telephone advice line would have complemented the information provided electronically, and allowed easier discussion of signs and symptoms.

The Cube is BRILL!! Sooo easy to clean - only takes 10 mins - if that! I lined the trays with newspaper, so it just needed lifting out, a quick spay and wipe over, more paper back in, and slot back in place. The plastic bars are also really easy to clean. It looks nice, and with two people it can be moved easily. Very sturdy and good quality - the girls love it, and started laying just 2 days after it arrived!!

This is a fab product. It holds a lot of water which stays absolutely clean. No chance of contamination by wild birds, of my chickens treadding in it. The only snag is, when I placed it in my run (under the chicken house) it isn't quite high enough, the chickens need to crane their heads round to get to the nipples underneath. Having said that, they got used to using it very quickly.

Brilliant Idea Chickens seem very happy put themselves to bed of a night shut the door until the morning Great and have had no trouble with Foxes yet and our area is prone to them

No longer do we have to fiddle to get the clip open, making it so much easier to use.
