Auto Door Saved My Chickens Life!
Jason, Utah,
Day 2 of the girls out in the Eglu Cube and the door was set to close at 9:30pm. I came out to make sure the girls got in safely and one of my Barnavelders walked up and sat down in the line of fire. I ran over to the door to stop it from closing but the door immediately stopped before crushing her! So grateful for this!

So convenient!
Julie,
I love this door. We installed it on our homemade coop more than 3 years ago! I have had zero problems even in subzero northern Illinois weather. I set the door to open and close by time so I have a little more control over it. I am going to change the batteries for the first time. Yes, the first time in 3 years. It says I have 20 percent left but I'm being proactive. Great door that makes chicken tending easier. I have my sight on an Eglu Up in the near future.

Great auto door
Elaine,
Really pleased with the auto door. I already had one on my go up eglu and I wanted one for the outer area as they are on an allotment, it has made things a lot easier.

One less chore with the auto chicken coop
Bernard,
Great product! No more closing the coop door manually. We have it on the standard light sensor which works brilliantly. We weren’t sure at first whether the chickens would be in before door closes but so far it’s a 100% hit. It’s light on the standard AA batteries. So no need for a wired connection.

Best investment
Kia,
One of the best investments for my chickens. I also bought the light which helped guide my chickens into the coop. They were already going in at night but because it was pitch black inside they were gathering at the door and not getting onto the perches. Sometimes I would have one or two hop out as the other automatic door I had would close. Had a few instances where ones head would get caught. The best thing I love about this door is you can control it from the app on your phone, so if one does get stuck outside you can open it back up!

Door opening timer
Evans,
Good all round product but would be handy to be able to set the time in the morning (prefer them to come out at 7am in summer) and dusk setting in the evening. At the moment can't mix and match.

It's true what the foxes say about this door!
Denis,
I recently installed the Omlet automatic door on my timber chicken house (which itself sits inside a fenced compound). The installation process was relatively straight-forward although I did have to jury-rig a couple of things - I needed two larger screws (than the ones provided) to secure the bottom of the door, and I spent a bit of time fashioning some metal brackets to reattach the little ramp in to the nesting box (which had to be removed as part of removal of the existing coop door). Probably not necessary but I also used a couple of spacers along the top of the door as the design of my coop meant the door was not flush all the way around. My coop is a common design so it may be worth Omlet considering putting together an attachment kit for this style. The manual spoke about a door calibration function but I was not able to activate this. Nonetheless the door appears to open and close perfectly. I now keep both the door to the coop and the compound open 24/7 with the Omlet door keeping our hens safe at night. We have already had one visit from a fox who left disappointed. I am very happy with my Omlet and can highly recommend it.
