Putting my hens on wheels meant I also had to convert my Go to being an Up, and I also decided to get the run extension for the full benefit. All of this was a major investment. Putting my Eglu Go Up on wheels has made moving my hens much easier once I worked out how to use it all, and has saved straining my back. Even with the run extension it is easily manageable. My one criticism is that the foot pedals would be more useable if they were a few centimetres longer as my feet slip off the end too easily due to the short length. As it is I often have to use my hands rather than my feet when I unhook the pedals (be careful not to trap your fingers!). Also the plastic end caps do slip off gradually which can damage them, be sure to check and push them back on or else they will wear out (are replacements available from Omlet?). Nevertheless I am glad I invested in the wheels. As for using the ladder, the hens worked it out within a day (clever girls).

I always felt the Omlet products were overpriced and probably only for urban chicken keepers who needed an easy solution for their small garden flock however - I was wrong! I should have bought one years ago! I bought an Eglu Up Go recently in desperation as my small flock were being repeatedly infested with red mite in the traditional wooden coop that we had for several years. The Eglu is perfect for our needs (mine and my chooks). I didn't need a run as we have a section of the back garden fenced off for their exclusive use (doesn't stop them repeatedly trying to break into the bit with flowers and rampage through the bedding plants!) I have 5 girls and wondered if the Eglu would be big enough but it absolutely does the job - the girls love it and started laying there regularly and politely take it in turns to lay their daily egg in the one egg compartment - that's after having a choice of 4 nesting boxes previously. They are still a but wary of the ladder but getting used to it. What I love is that it is SO easy to clean - it takes me no more than 5 or 10 minutes and I can even hose it down if I want to. It is sturdy, vermin proof and I can move it to different positions in the run whenever I want to so in the winter I can move it neArer the house to avoid tramping through mud to let them out in the morning. The girls look healthier than they have for months are laying well and I took great delight in burning the old mite ridden coop. Even my hard to please husband was impressed by the design - it really is perfect. The slatted floor means that chicken poop just falls through to the tray underneath than can be emptied daily if necessary with minimal effort. My only criticism is that unless you buy a run with the eglu, there is no where to fix the feeders and they just topple over. Will have to make a feeder stand on the fence unless anyone has any ideas? Also a great new accessory would be a solar door opener for when we are away if any of your amazing eglu designers have any ideas? Thrilled with the purchase - worth every penny.

Took one star away because we had two bantam chicks (old enough to be outside) escape through the gaps where the wheel lever is. We had to close it up with wire until they got bigger.

These wheels were simple to put together and attach to the Eglu Go Up frame. They also work very smoothly and have made moving my Eglu Run around my yard very easy.

Makes for such easy cleaning and mobile, had been looking at getting chickens for over a year, when this product came out it swung my decision - i got some!

It seems the design of this has changed and there is no return on the foot pedal making it awkward to push down and, unless you have a hard soled pair of shoes on, is hard and sharp. Otherwise, the set, once you have engaged the pedals in the slots, makes life so much easier for wheeling the Go Up around

Just upgraded my Go to a Go Up. Decided to add the wheels just in case I need to move the run on my own. Unlikely to need to do this very often, just gives me the additional flexibility. Quite expensive though for what they are.

My original wheel set arrived damaged and the customer service I recieved was fantastic. They arranged straight away for a replacement set. The wheels make it so easy to move the run around the garden as I keep my chickens on the grass and move them every couple of days. Very easy on my bad back.
