Back to Productwell built but could do with some spare clips - Bernadette, Dublin,
Just put this together over several evenings. Very happy with this purchase! Was reasonably straightforward for one person to build and the hutch part is very good quality. The run clips seem a little flimsy (hoping they stand up to local foxes) and could have done with a few spares since ruined one or two closing/opening again. only complaint is that if you don't have very flat ground the edges can lift a bit and there might be a chance for escape as the floor grid is relatively big holes. Would advise some tent pegs or similar to anchor it to the ground for peace of mind.

Extremely well made - Derek,
Excellent product.
Only improvement would be to add some form of handle on the hutch to make it easier to move to fresh grass

Great hutch, Nightmare build - Charlotte, Aberdeenshire,
I love this hutch and everything they promise is true. What isn’t explained is that it’ll take over 2 hours to build with the 2m run. The instructions are poor. I’m a whizz at Lego and IKEA, yet these instructions are not to the same quality. Some parts of the build required 2 people. I’m so disappointed that I paid such a high amount of money (£400) and was left building it myself, with poor instructions. On this basis I would not buy again. I feel this needs to be made much clearer before purchase

Omlet Says: Hi Charlotte, Thank you very much for taking the time to write us a review. We are sorry to read about the difficulties that you experienced regarding the assembly of your hutch. In addition of the manual, don't hesitate to have a look on our website, where we offer YouTube videos, showing our colleagues building the hutch step by step. However, your feedback has been reported to our product design team who will have a look at ways to improve the clarity of the instructions manuals. We stay at your disposal for any further information. Best Regards, Clemence Omlet Customer Service team
Great hutch and run - Shirley, Merseyside,
I bought this hutch with the 1 metre run last month. This is so easy to clean and it’s great to keep the two guinea pigs safe in the garden. However, I returned the 1 metre run for the 2 metre run which I think is much better for two guinea pigs. I have peace of mind now when the piggies are out in the garden as the run is really strong and sturdy and they are protected from the cats that wander through our garden. Customer service staff at Omlet were so helpful on my returning the smaller run and on the delivery of the larger run. Thank You so much. Would definitely recommend Omlet products

Nice and secure but some room for improvement. - Zoe,
We have had this for about a month and the guineas have moved outdoors to their new home now. They are happy and it is lovely to see them outside. The order arrived as planned. Assembly was ok but does require watching the video first to get it right. Took about 2 hours.
The hutch is secure and easy to clean and the run is reassuringly secure too. I find that when the door is opened it is too large an opening meaning they don’t have a nice place to hide and seem to feel quite exposed. A smaller opening would be better for them so we have fitted cardboard in the hole with a little opening at the bottom. It would also be great to be able to look in at them without opening the whole of the back wall, although I realise this would complicate the construction. Overall a great product. I hope we have a long term use from this

Excellent. - Steve,
We are very happy with our Eglu hutch for our two guinea pigs. They took to it immediately and we haven't looked back. It's easy to clean and just feel much more solid and weather-proof than wooden hutches. The boys love it!

think twice before buying - Nathan,
I bought this a while ago but had to wait until the weather was better for my guinea pigs to move outside once I had allowed them to go outside I noticed numerous flaws 1) the water bottle is horrific and leaks all over the bedding and leaving the bedding drenched 2) the guinea pigs can crawl in the side of the hay feeder and get stuck and after trying to explain these problems to the omlet customer service I got ignored and am still waiting for a resposne

Omlet Says: Hi Nathan, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. I have looked into the above for you and I can see that one of my colleagues has offered you a replacement water bottle as it sounds like the one you have received is faulty and has also sent an email to our design team asking them to look into your Guinea Pigs getting stuck on the side of the Hay Feeder as this is not something we have heard of before.
- Roxanne,
Great product, easy to put together, easy for the kids to use and clean. Really happy

Fantastic hutch - Davies, Flintshire,
I chose the Eglu hutch for our 2 baby Guinea pigs as I wanted a fox proof hutch. We’ve had the hutch over a month now and we’re very pleased with it. So easy to keep clean and easy to move around with 2 people carrying it. I was apprehensive about the cost but it will last for years and I love the fact that the guineas are able to move in and out of the run in the day and are safely locked up at night. The cover has been fantastic in the rain as it means they can still be outside eating grass. The 1 metre run is fine for 2 Guineas. It was a real pain to put together though!! It was missing a pack of screws when it arrived, however the customer service team were great and sent another pack.
Perfect - children and guinea pigs are very happy! - Alex,
We have kept guinea pigs in a wooden run up until now and the weekend moan has always been the cleaning out of the hutch. Love the pets, hate the chores!!! The eglu is a revelation. It is expensive yes but as others have commented - you get what you pay for. I was dreading the 'build' but it actually took 2 of us only 20 minutes to get the house part together and then another hour or so for the run, the hardest part was that the run kept detaching from the lid but once it is finished it is perfectly stable. Cleaning now takes 15 minutes and actually we are using much less hay and sawdust so a saving there. The baby pigs love their new home and I am so sold I am now saving for the Omlet chicken run as well !
fantastic product and customer service - Kay, Devon,
Very pleased with our new guinea pig hutch. We live in a hot country, so will wait and see how it performs in the hot summer (turns out you cannot buy the insulation pads that are shown in the video, and customer service don't have a solution to what to use as an alternative, which is disappointing). On the plus side, our run developed a fault in its first month and the customer service team were FANTASTIC - they have sent a replacement unit, no quibbling and have reported the fault to the manufacturing dept so that it can be fixed for future customers - Thanks Charlie! So, overall happy, just waiting to see how hot the house gets in the summer heat. If anyone has found a material to slot into the house cavity to help insulate in hot weather, please let me know!
