The Eglu Go Hutch can be purchased with a 6ft run, suitable for two to three guinea pigs to run around in. Made from strong, steel weld mesh, it is virtually impossible for predators to break, and the removable anti-tunnel wire base will prevent predators from digging in. The unique tunnel-proof panels have been proven in rigorous testing to be fox and badger resistant, so you can be sure that your pets are safe even when you are not at home. Depending on the size of your pet, the underfloor wire may not contain them if positioned on uneven ground. You should always try to place the enclosure on the flattest ground possible. How many guinea pigs can I keep in the Eglu Go?
The Eglu Go Hutch is suitable for two to three guinea pigs.
Is the Eglu predator proof?
While the strong materials and thought out design makes it extremely hard for predators to get to your pets, no hutch is 100% predator proof. Check the hutch and run regularly to make sure all features are working as intended, including latches, doors and run clips.
If you live in an area with lots of predators, including small ones like martens and weasels you might want to consider adding extra protection to your run.
Will the underfloor mesh hurt my pets' feet?
The mesh is added to protect your pets, either from them digging out or predators digging in.
If the hutch and mesh are positioned correctly, your pets should not be able to feel the bars. It's important that the metal lies flush against the ground without any gaps; you don't want your rabbit or guinea pig to put their whole weight onto a paw that's standing on a metal wire. It's not very comfortable, and can cause problems in the long run.
Is the hutch chew-proof?
While the Eglu Go is made from strong materials that will withstand sharp guinea pig teeth, no hutch is completely chew-proof. Provide your guinea pigs with plenty of hay and chew toys to keep their growing teeth in shape, and make sure they get plenty of exercise and stimulation to minimize the risk of boredom.
Can I buy the hutch without a run?
Yes, you can buy just the hutch/hide by itself if you already have a run. Do however note that the hutch itself is too small to be the only living space for guinea pigs, and they should never be kept in with the door closed for longer periods of time

Can you have wheels without a run?
The optional wheels can be used with or without a run, as they are fastened with brackets under the hutch. However, they are most effective when you have a run, as the hutch can then be moved by lifting the run.
Can my guinea pigs stay in the hutch in winter?
Dispensing slightly on where you live and how cold it gets, the hutch is designed as an all-year home, and the insulation will keep your guinea pigs cozy in winter. In fact, most guinea pigs are very good at handling colder temperatures and will gradually grow a thicker coat in winter and moving them in and out is likely to be more harmful. You can help them by adding more hay and straw to the hutch, provide shelter with covers and hides on the run, or add a Extreme Temperature Jacketto the Eglu Go.
When can baby guinea pigs go in the Eglu?
Baby guinea pigs should be kept indoors until they are approximately 6-8 weeks old. Slowly introduce them to the outdoor world during a week or two, starting with 15 minutes and then gradually extending the time every day. This is to make sure their bodies get used to the outdoor temperature, as well as letting their tummies adapt to eating grass.

My guinea pigs are so happy!
I am loving the Eglu Go Guinea Pig hutch with 2 min run, and wish I'd bought one years ago. Tough, durable, and so roomy for the guinea pigs, it is faultless. Took a bit to assemble, but that would be the worker not the tools (I'm not great at assembly but got there in the end!) It's such a welcome addition to our backyard. And the guinea pigs are noticeably more active and I feel the little igloo like home is really toasty for them overnight and on cooler days.

Best guineapig run
We have two Guinea pigs who would just hide in their old wooden run. We wanted to get them a proper run with a nice little home hide for the summer (they have a proper hutch that they sleep in at night). I have to say this I let eglu is absolutely perfect! Our Guinea pigs love it and feel safe in it as they are out all the time eating the glass and relaxing, they go in to the little house for a rest or some straw. I can’t recommend this run enough for Guinea pig owners. Very very happy.

Fantastic hutch
This hutch is great, keeps my mind at ease for the safety and the warmth of my piggies. The only downside is that it was slightly fiddly trying to put the run together and the instructions could’ve been slightly more clearer

Excellent hutch
This is the best hutch on the market in terms of funtionality and quality. The back door of the hutch does catch a bit if there is even the slightest uneven ground, which is a bit annoying. Other than that very happy with it.
