I have switched over to the 12V Power Adapter after a battery leaked acid on the circuit board which destroyed the the key pad. This gives me peace if mind from a faulty battery failure.

I purchased the ac adaptor so I could run the door in electric however it would be nice if I could also put batteries in for it to run on in case of electric outage. Otherwise the door has been great

We purchased this auto door for our new coop as we like to travel from time to time. I am so glad that my chickens be able to be out and about first thing in the morning and closed in safely at night. It was a breeze to install. My teenage son did it himself in about 15 minutes. It was already programmed and is easy to figure out. Thankful for a great product!

Easy install and great light.

I purchased this in addition to the auto coop door so I could have a clean and secure install of the auto door system. It is sturdy, machined well and secure. I did watch a video on where it was best clamped on the Eglu roof and that made a big difference.

I found this easy to fit but I did have my sister to help as it is easier with two people.

Not really a "must have" for many many people have raised chickens without this door and done just fine. Yep, every morning at the crack of dawn they got themselves up and out of bed to open the coop up, every morning, morning in and morning out. Up and at em every morning and don't forget every evening too. Does your personal time off have any value whatsoever ? Do the math and buy the door.
