All of my coops have auto doors now. No more racing home to beat the sunset. I had one door and I wanted to see it's performance in Minnesota winters and negative temps before buying for all the coops. Never missed an open or close. Big fan.

My third auto door- to let chickens into a run extension with fresh grass in it. Happy chickens and a run nearly doubled in size by using a mixture of netting and some old electric fencing. So good to see them out on fresh grass.

I purchased my Omlet door a couple years ago, before the Smart Autodoor Control Pamel was available. I decided to buy the control panel and I am so glad I did. I love that I can control it from my phone and the other day 2 of my chickens didn't make it in before the door closes so instead of having to go out to the coop to put them away, I was able just to open the door from my phone and they ran right it!! Very please with it!

We absolutely loved our Autodoor, it's a game changer for chicken keeping and we'd had it for nearly 5 years working perfectly. I saw the smart door had come out and it was just as our old control was getting a little temperamental (to be honest I think it just need a little post winter tlc and some new batteries but any excuse for an upgrade!). We have a blink camera on our chicken coop door - so we can see if some of them hadn't made it in before the door closed and we'd have to nip out to let them in. Now, I can just open the door from the comfort and warmth of the house (or quite literally anywhere!). I love the notifications that the door has closed and I can check on the camera if they're all in safe and sound. I love it. Just the best.

We've had an autodoor on our coop for several years now and that was certainly an improvement on doing things manually. It was battery operated but as we now how a new arrangement with mains power a bit closer from a new shed I thought it was about time to get a Smart panel. After I had boosted wifi coverage in the house it worked fine and an easy way to change opening and closing times. We have a camera inside the coop (alongside others outside also used for birds and next boxes). This provides a diversion at or mealtimes to see their squabbles at roosting and habbits before laying, or not. Now that therre is a good wifi arrangement you might like to consider marketing a camera system as a plug in? Ours is hard wired cabling but with modern wifi it should not be too difficult to set one up with a secure access for remote viewing. In fact, our son gave us a Christmas present that was a wifi-connected picture frame (Skylight Frame) that would be excellent for family viewing (although I have not tried it for video). I have been keeping chooks for over 12 years.... I wish I had of thought of something like this years ago... but I take it wasn't invented then! I have the auto door. Very easy to install. Very easy to operate.. Stops those late night treks to the hen house, the wet treks to the hen house. I can open the door earlier than what I would have without it. Chooks love it. When they hear it opening they run for the door! I also installed a cheap wifi outdoor camera which is awesome addition. I can make sure they are in for the night before closing. Great invention thankyou!!!
