This is great and works as described.

We have had the door for about a year. Batteries lasted all of last summer and read 80% in November. I changed the prior to winter, there at 80% now mid April. The cover on the controller should be clear. It blows open in heavy wind, need to snap closed better, but, with it open I can see the display light up from the house 70ft away. This tells me if there was a problem closing which has happened several times from wood chips building up. If the cover is closed, I would have never saw the display lit up and would not of known the door was stuck open. It has never froze, has never malfunctioned besides wood chips in door way. Great product. Clear cover with better snap would make it a bit better.

I've had my chickens safely tucked in at night. The omelet is a great boom to the girls being safe at night. It works like expected. Change batteries about every 3 months to make sure it works every day.

It’s a very nice sturdy door. One tip if your chickens live in a shed like ours do you are best off to put it in the side off the shed instead off the door. Only down side is it’s quite noisy! But that aside it’s a very well made door.

A good quality product that works well and as advertised. Would love to be able to buy an automatic door chicken feeder to keep rodents out.

Made the decision to move my automatic door from the coop to the run. Now the coop gets more airflow with the door left open (Perth gets hot!) and the run remains predator proof during the night. It's a win win.

I’ve been using the omlet door for a while now. It has been a godsend. Easy to put onto my wooden coop and so easy to operate Highly recommend.

I would say that the quality of the product is 5 as it integrates perfectly with the other omlet products. Once you dial in the programming to how you like it, then it works. My only downsides are— no remote access like other products at this price, No solar option, and the night light has limited program options

The Automatic Chicken Coop Door with Coop Light is AWESOME! I should have ordered it when I first ordered my Eglu Cube a year ago. It works wonderfully, was easy to install, easy to program, and my chickens don't mind it at all! I'M FREE TO SLEEP IN ON THE WEEKENDS!!! Truly a blessing! Well worth it! You won't be disappointed! NOW DO IT! So freeing! Thank you Omlet for another well made product! I look forward to buying another Eglu Cube with the coop door and light...as soon as I can twist my wonderful Hubby's arm gently!

Bought this recently - mainly to make it easier to have the odd night away but actually have also found it great on a day to day basis. The optional light comes on five minutes before the door shuts in the evening which seems to encourage any that are still up to head up to bed. The light goes off immediately after the door closes which settles them down nicely. Because our run is covered, we find it easier to set to times rather than to daylight; it is easy to set. The auto door is great as often we are out to work before it is light so we can put the food in and then leave the hens safe until the door opens. At the weekend we can have a lie in because the door will let them into the run - they have water and we just pop the food in when we get up. This also has the benetit of keeping the house cleaner as if we are a bit late up they are not pooping in the house. The only downside we have found so far is that sometimes the rooster plonks himself in the doorway and refuses to move- in this case , the door will try to close a few times but if he stubbornly refuses to move the door will default to open. He is getting better at going in so we are hopeful that he will get the hang of it like the hens have. Usefully the display panel shows the battery status but it is not running down quickly despite the rooster doing his best to use it up. We deliberated for quite a while before getting the auto door but we are very glad we did. It isn't cheap but it works well. Omlet in our opinion sells great quality products and customer service (should you need them) is second to none.
