Karen,
What a great little hutch. Our little bunny is very happy and so are we. We were missing a couple of bolts, but my hubby was able to use something he had out in the workshop. would recommend this for anyone wanting a safe cosy home for there rabbit. thanks

Great in dry weather
Sue,
This is a great hutch for my three guinea pigs but I've had to buy a conventional hutch for the winter as the rain was driving into the hutch and the run was waterlogged. It would be useful to be able to raise the hutch off the ground perhapswith a ramp for the piggies to get some exercise. When the weather cheers up they'll be resuming residence.

Excellent and safe home
Mini,
Great home for my 3 guinea pigs. They would probably benefit from a longer run in the summer, 1m is not quite enough for 3 animals. Happy to know they are safe from all predators including our dog! Not quite as easy to clean as the video suggested, but all in it's a fairly quick job. It might also benefit from wheels of some sort as it needs moving every few days to allow the guinea pigs access to new grass.

Very safe and smart looking house and run
Lara,
Although it takes a bit of time to build initially (approx 2 hours) once built, the Eglu Go guineapig is a very safe, fox/cat resistant home and run in one. The fact that it allows the guineapigs to come and please, in and out of the home and run section, is excellent, especially as their most naturally active times often do not coincide with when they may be put in a traditional, separate run. It is excellent to see them grazing and exploring at various times of day and night. I love the fact that the run has a metal grid to the bottom (for safety) however this does come with its own issues: when placed on the grass, the bottom sits above the actually ground meaning the guineapigs feet could get caught. To overcome this, we use a mallet and thick tent pegs to push the base as deep as we can, which minimalises the space between the metal grid and the ground. Our pigs don't seem to notice however without the pegging down, this would be a problem. Also, sometimes the door in the back catches in the frame and needs quite a hard pull to open. Overall this is an excellent product compared to the cheap wooden alternatives. It's long lasting, easy to clean and (most importantly) I believe provides the pigs with a happy and safe environment.

Guinea Pig Hutch
Christine,
The hutch is great, easy to clean. I use it for my Rabbit, Pepper. The only thing that is difficult is moving it around the yard to a new grass area. If you could add a ramp for a rabbit to climb to use on the Eglu go up chicken coop that would be great and easy to move around the yard. Can't fault the product otherwise.

Excellent
Sharon,
Bought for my daughters birthday. Easy to erect, and really easy for her to clean out the Guinea pigs on her own.

Great product.... now it's built
Simon,
Great product as easy to keep clean, keeps the guinea pigs dry and does not rot. Pity it was such a pig to build though! Hutch goes together quite well and looks great (although Omlet - please sort out those unsightly sprue marks left on the outer panels!). However the cage is practically impossible to build if you follow the instructions. A short call to Omlet sorted the issue - top tip: build the run completely first and then attach to the hutch. Fiddly but not impossible. Apart from the build experience and the cosmetic issues on the panels I cannot fault it.

Great Quality item, worth considering
Linsey,
Bought this for two guinea pigs Positives - well constructed, solid, feel safe leaving them out all day when I go to work. Bought the additional heavy duty cover so that it protects the run from rain and it is also very well constructed. The pull out shelf for cleaning is the best part Cons: in the depth of winter you might not want to let your GPs out in the run but as there's no window/mesh like conventional hutches the GPs will be in the dark all day. The run doesn't detach so if anything requires removing from the run you have to climb in through the small door at the end. Ok if you're a child. The fact that it's on the floor means if you do want to get your GPs out its a bit more tricky than one a waist level. Queue a few chases round the garden as the GP escapes. Oh and the final point is that you really shouldn't put guinea pigs on metal bottoms and the 1metre GP metal run bottom doesn't detach so you really need the 2metre run option if you don't want to run the risk of bumble foot! More expense. Overall I'd still recommend this as the quality and positives outweigh the downsides. Pricey but built to last! I imagine it would outlive multiple wooden versions and it keeps its value for resale should you decide to sell. The accessories are worth buying including hay etc as omlet are actually cheaper than most other internet companies for the feeds etc.

Flopsy's bunny hutch
Michelle,
We purchased this hutch for our large pet rabbit and it's great. It gives her the freedom of being on grass as well as the protection of a burrow. Importantly it is fox proof, a necessity for us. I love that we can close her den at night time without imposing on her space using the exterior knob.
