Keeps my chickens entertained! They love it! And it's very easy to use

My girls eat out of it fine, but the roosters combs are too big and he can’t put his head in to eat. Unfortunately, the blue jays and other wild birds are inclined to jump in and scarf what they want. It keeps the food dry. I bought another type of feeder which seems favored so I rotate the food out of this feeder every few days to keep food fresh.

I bought this as I kept finding the single water feeder empty every time I visited the chickens last summer, so thought an extra one would be useful... can't have the girls going thirsty!!

We received a feeder with our initial coop purchase. I purchased more feeders, as they are PERFECT for also putting out separate free choice feeders for eggshell and grit. These feeders also work VERY well with our ducks (who are in with our chickens) NOT getting the feed all wet. These feeders are PERFECT!!

Fits all sorts of veggies and treats and the girls love pecking them. They turned their noses up at the treat balls that were designed to go with it, so won't get them again, but the holder is a definite hit.

This is a great product and I don't regret purchasing it at all, however I cannot use it for my roosters because their larger combs prevent them from getting their heads into the small opening. The hens seem ok with it, but for the roosters, I had to go a different direction. I understand that most folks only have hens, but for the few who do keep a rooster or two around, this product isn't great for them. I love the protection from the weather, but a larger opening would make this product perfection. :)

All three of my girls love the Pendant Pecking toy. I have it suspended over the high perch. One chicken jumps up on to the perch, bash it a few times and seeds fall to the floor of the pen for the chucks to find and hoover up.

Solid, easy for hens to use, easy to clean

I couldn’t decide whether to buy this caddy treat holder for my girls or not, but I decided to just before the sale ended! When it arrived I put a little gem lettuce in it & took it out to see what my girls thought of it. I hung it up & stood back to watch! In less than one minute Pandora, my Speckled Sussex hen had come over to investigate! Seconds later she was pecking away at it! I was delighted! It’s something else to keep them occupied while they are restricted due to the avian influenza, so money well spent! But I was thrilled that it was Pandora who had come to investigate because just three weeks earlier I had been having to tube feed her three times a day, as she was not eating! So the caddy feeder was helping with her recovery! (It seems that she stops eating when a flock member dies!) I used the caddy holder daily for my girls to have a little gem lettuce, which is perfect for size, or a chunk of cabbage in it, to enjoy in the afternoons. The do prefer it if the cabbage has been lightly cooked for them first though! Not that they are at all pampered!
