Before using the mounting bracket I used cable ties to hold the control panel against the coop. It wasn't secure or looked good. With the mounting bracket it fits the control panel snug against the coop and looks alot nicer than my d.i.y solution. This is the second time I have bought a mounting bracket for my coops. Highly recommend for a secure and neat look.

I’ve been using the auto door for months now on my Eglu Cube. I live in the northern tip of Minnesota where temps very easily dip to -60F for days. The auto door works great even in these incredibly cold temperatures. The only time the auto door failed to close was when my girls very kindly pooped right on the track and it froze instantly. All I had to do was pop the blockage off and the door worked flawlessly once more!

We know that chickens don't see well in the dark. At dusk, my girls would get stuck at the door because the first one couldn't or wouldn't go further into the coop. Then most of them would be locked out when the door closed. Usually, the light keeps things moving, because they can see where they are going. I no longer come home to find half of them hiding somewhere in the yard,

Amazing upgrade to the previous version. Love the wifi connectivity as we can see whether the door is open or not. We can also set the light sensitivity really easily in the app 👍

The mesh attachment kit made install easy. Our chicken coop is an old upcycled aviary with rectangular mesh.

I received this door in September and wanted to wait a bit before reviewing it to get an accurate experience. So far, I LOVE IT! It does a perfect job of opening and closing on time, if using the specific time option, and it’s also great when using the sun-up/sun-down option. It’s a little harder to get that hammered down with the light level and delay, but it does show you the light levels throughout the day so you can decide what light level you’d like it to close/open at. It drops when chickens are in the way, yet it is not hindered by debris in the doorway. Also, not that much debris gets in the way, probably because it’s plastic and slides off. I just wish they had a pink door option 😉
