Bought this to replace a vertical auto door that continuously would not open properly. I hoped that the horizontally opening door would close completely every night, keeping my chickens safe. It works so much better that I am buying a second Omlet door for the other side. It’s very good quality and easy to install. Highly recommend!

This door is amazingly simple to install and use. I have three automatic coop doors for my coops and this one was the easiest and fastest install. It was so simple and I liked it so much that when it was time to get an auto door for my Silkie Coop this was my go to door. The only thing I wish was that there could be a separate auto program for the coop light. It is set to come on 5 minutes before the door closes, but for Silkies they are so stubborn - it would be nice to be able the coop light to come on and go off on a separate schedule from the door. This way you could have the light come on independently of the door so they had plenty of time to get in and get comfy before the door closes. I use a smart coop light in my other coops and control the light with a schedule within the Phillips Hue app, but I didn't have electrical to add to my newest coop, so I chose to use the Omlet Coop light with the auto door. I really hope they take this request into consideration so that it might help other chicken owners as well. Aside from this small issue the door itself is fantastic and so easy to use!

I purchased the automatic door which was brilliant but then as the evenings started to get darker earlier the girls didn’t seem to be making it into the coope before the door closed. After a bit of research I realised I needed a coope light.the Omlet coope light has worked brilliantly. I installed and programmed it myself - I was surprised I was able to as I’m not good at that sort of thing. It works like a dream. It comes on as dark falls and 15 minutes before the automatic door closes. Then goes off soon after. Since I put it in all the girls have made it in on time. It means they got the most time possible outside every day having the light and auto door together. I have a wooden coope but the products work perfectly on it.

I should have bought the coop light when I purchased the door. My chickens were already trained to come to a light which I had added but it required me to make an extra trip to turn the light on and then another to turn it off. Order your automatic door with the coop light installed!

Makes us feel very safe. Shirli took a while to get used to sleeping in the coop and not on the roof. Polli (quite a plump girl!) can fit easily through the doorway. It gives us great peace of mind and sense of security at night, because we live in rather rural area where Mr Fox visits. We particularly like the independence it gives us as the employees were rather unreliable with closing the front door in the evening.

I’m happy I got this to complete my chickens home. Now I don’t have to worry when I get home late and they don’t have to wait until I get moving in the morning! I have 2 Eglu Cubes, the walk in run and now the automatic door. Pleased with it all!

Mounting bracket works great for my auto door to mount on the coop. Only downfall was when I ordered the coop and auto door at the same time I didn’t realize you’d need to purchase this bracket separately. But when I figured that out and ordered it it came pretty quick and all is good now.

I have a small coop and run. The run is made of hardware cloth and I wanted to give my birds more room with a large Omlet run and this attachment made it really easy.

Super easy to assemble and attach the auto door, could likely do this with wood you have lying around home but saves time with measuring and cutting!

Love this door and absolutely recommend it. It would be perfect if I could adjust the settings to use light at night when my hens go in by themselves, but be able to use time in the morning when I don’t want them out as early. My hens free range and I like for them to eat inside the coop for a few hours in the morning before heading out. Fuller bellies means less damage to my plants outside.
