I've had my door installed for over 6 months now and it works like a charm! I know my flock is safe and sound once the door closes at night. I put the light on but it turns out I didn't need it for my chickens so I just use it for head counts if I come in late at night to be sure everyone is accounted for. I like it so much I just ordered another one to put on my run for the free ranging. Highly recommended if you have chickens.

I've been contemplating getting the autodoor for so long, and I'm so glad I finally did. It's so nice to not have to wake up super early in the morning just to let my girls out. I have a hen who likes to sleep in the door with her head outside, and I'm pleased to report that the safety feature does in fact work, and doesn't squish my chickens! I love this door, and setting it up in my Eglu Cube was fairly simple.

We built a new chicken coop and fenced in run this year and want to have an automatic door. We reviewed many doors on the market and found the Omlet auto chicken door had the best reviews so we ordered one. We did not install this door on the outside of the coop due to the metal pole barn siding not being a flat surface, instead we installed the door on the inside of the coop and ran the controller to the outside of the coop. The door has been running now for a few weeks and it performs great. it opens and closes at dawn and dusk as we have set it. The door is solid and the gear drive ensures the door always closes and opens, no sticking cables like other doors. The price point on this door is higher than others on the market, however as they say you get what you pay for. This door is worth every penny and I would buy it again and I recommend it to all our friends. Great product and I think it will last for years. Stop thinking about it and order one.

It has been over a year now and this coop door has worked like a champ. Wood chips get suck occasionally below the frame and prevent full closure if not cleared, but that is easily fixable and the door will stay nearly shut with the small gap. Biggest thing I worried about was battery life. After 14 months of use I have yet to change the batteries. This, despite a frigid Minnesota winter and some early, perhaps excessive (obsessive) operational testing. I just ordered a 2nd one for our 2nd coop.

We’ve had our door a couple of years now. So awesome to not feel pressured to get out to the chickens first thing to let them out or worry about getting home to lock them in. We have a lot of predators in our area, and this has made all the difference for protecting our birds. Super reliable, and long battery life! I can’t say enough good things.

We haven't had it installed very long but even out of the box we were impressed at the quality of the product. It seemed to be very well made and sturdy. The gray color was a great match for our coop and my husband had it installed and working in just a couple hours. So far we absolutely love it and think it is probably one of the best investments we made to make our first time chicken keeping experience less stressful and easy. Love it so far!

I got this door so that we could close our coop without our rooster attacking us. My coop has a long door (the entire steps fold down) so you have to bend over to pick it up to close it. My devil rooster chooses that time to attack. Because of the long door, I attached the omlet to the inside of my coop and covered the top part that it dosent cover with hardware cloth. I put the control panel on the outside of my coop so I dont even have to enter the pen to open/close the door. Putting it inside also allows me to close the original coop door. The only problem I had is I did not realize it was set on the light setting and when I went out at dark, the door was closed and my chickens were standing outside raising heck at me. Once I figured out how to set it on the time setting, everything worked great. I use the "ok" button to manually open it in the morning on the days I leave for work before daylight. This door has added some years to my roosters life and has made ours so much easier.

We love this auto door. We set it to time as the dunrise and sunset, due to location of unit did not work very well.what I wish, is that we didn't have to unscrew the unit from the wall in order to change the batteries. Very inconvenient and should reconsider design. Otherwise, it's great.

I love my auto chicken doors it makes life so much easier ! I set my with the time setting and so far it has been great for me ! I would recommend if you want to make sure no chickens get locked out that you set it a little after dark . It’s military time but if u need help i just watched a video online and it was really easy after that.it makes me feel a little better knowing if I’m home after dark my chickens will be shut up.i would definitely recommend this product!
