The only downside is that some of the eggs do not seem to roll and sometimes cause a traffic jam and then you find yourself moving the eggs manually. But it's not too much of a biggie, it does look good on the side and it does help keep the eggs in date order.

I bought 2 as Christmas presents for hen owning friends who previously dated eggs with a marker pen . Both were totally delighted and think what a brilliant and stylish idea !

I bought 2 of these, 1 for ourselves and 1 for our best friends. We both keep chickens and it was a great way of keeping eggs in date order so we used the oldest first, no more moving each egg in the cardboard egg boxes each time we take any out. We have young chickens and the egg skelter is perfect for approx 58 gram eggs, when we have a 68 gram+ egg they do get stuck on the few cross bars underneath, but easy to move past. Visually it is very nice on your kitchen worktop. Buy one and enjoy.

This egg skelter is a well made piece of kit. As a few people have mentioned, the eggs don't roll down when an egg is removed from the bottom of the skelter, but as most people know, eggs are oval, not round. Looks really good on the kitchen worktop.

I deliberately bought the 'medium-large' size even tho my chickens lay small-medium Brahma eggs. It's perfect; no issues. A little perturbed by some of the other reviews though... if I may clarify: The eggs do not "roll" down the skelter like a golf ball would; they clearly need a little assistance. Eggs (strange that some idiots clearly don't know this!) are actually egg-shaped. Yes that's right!! Bizarre isn't it?! A shape that's been cleverly designed by nature NOT to roll easily and if they do roll it's usually in a circle. Because guess what? If they did roll easily they'd be rolling out of nests and we'd have no more birds!! Astonishing, but true... So the message is: don't expect your eggs to be anything other than egg-shaped, and you and your skelter will get along just fine!

The egg skelter is the most efficient way to store eggs - they are always used in date order. It is an attractively quirky item to have in the kitchen and is always a talking point when visitors call. I love it.
