Just what I need to keep my eggs in order

Simple and effective; a lovely way to display your eggs in laying order

The idea behind this is brilliant, but it doesn’t always work in the way in which it should. The eggs sometimes get stuck as they roll, so then starts the fiddly procedure of unsticking them and popping them back in line. It is good however, for making sure you are eating the older eggs first even if they don’t always roll there!

I purchased a red egg skelter mid 2017 (to match my kitchen) and have been so happy with it. No more writing dates on the eggs or grumbling to people that keep using the newer eggs. It is sturdy and looks so cool, quite a conversation piece when we have visitors. The eggs sometimes need coaxing to move along which is to be expected as our chickens lay egg shaped eggs, and our one bantam's egg needs to be placed crossways to not fall through - nothing to complain about though. We now always use the oldest eggs first, don't need to label them and we can always see when it's time to gift some to neighbours. And best of all, it looks great on my kitchen bench.

Bought the red one to go with my new red themed kitchen - it looks stylish on the side by the cooker ready to pop an egg into the pan. Tricky to get the eggs to go around and down it - I’ve already lost an egg onto the floor (but the dogs enjoyed it!!).

The skelter is sturdy but the eggs do not roll freely down when removing a couple for use which would have been ideal. They tend to roll onto their narrow width and halt.

I bought this Egg Skelter after seeing it at my daughters. It is very easy to use and I don't have to date the eggs as I use them from the bottom, ensuring the fresh eggs are placed at the top. The only problem I have had is when our hens lay supersize eggs which are a bit too big! This only happens occasionally.

Perfect storage solution for eggs. Doesn't take up too much room and no confusion over which eggs to use first!

I've had several 'egg collecting' devices in the past but fancied the look of this more clever design (to show you the freshest to oldest) and it does the job. For three chickens our medium to large egg skelter 12 holds the right amount of eggs 'on the go' i.e. it rarely has space
