We love this! Many of the hamster cages we looked at were mostly plastic and would have to be placed on top of a table or something else. This one is standalone and a sturdy mix of wood and plastic. It has a pull out bin for bedding which is easy to clean. There is a storage section at the bottom for food &/or extra bedding and wheels to allow it to be easily moved. We highly recommend this hamster cage.

Huge bedding tray! I’m so glad I went with this cage and wasn’t persuaded by any negative reviews. I can’t comment on this cage for hamsters, but I have two gerbils and they love it in here! The cage is so much bigger than I expected. I brought 10l of care fresh and it wasn’t enough so I had to go back to the shop and buy 40l and Woodshavings because it will cost a bomb at this rate. The tray is huge the depth and deepness I didn’t expect to be so big. Gerbils Gerbils are having a ball inside. They haven’t slept since they moved in, due to all the excitement I feel bad for them! They love the hay! Huge wheel This wheel is much bigger than expected. I’ve seen on utube there are some who say negative things about this cage but now I realise is because they are looking at the picture and they are reviewing a cage they don’t have and have never used. The wheel is huge and the cage is much bigger than expected. Well made It’s solid everything is good quality. The only thing I had to replace was the food bowl as I prefer ceramic ones and the water bottle as I prefer glass ones. Apart from this it’s built to last. Replacement parts I’ve seen on Omlet you can order replacements parts this gives me peace of mind for things like the tube, tray and bars etc! Tube So although this cage is 5 stars the only thing is the tube, it’s very very long. With so much bedding the tube can’t go down. So I’ve had to put a tube clip on the top to stop the tube coming down so far, this means I can fill it with bedding and the tube is not in the way. The thing is I don’t want to take the clip on and off as I don’t want to loosen it so I don’t use the locking mechanism. If the tube was shorted the gerbils and hamsters wouldn’t be scared to go up and down but it’s so long they are scared. I would like to see a shorted tube. Anyway for now I have a solution. My husband was going to cut the tube but I think just locking it half way is enough for now. One gerbil has gone up and down from day one. The other one is scared to death to go anywhere near it. So for one of them I have to move them up and down to feed etc. I am hoping after a week the other one will go up as the tube looks very classy and I don’t want to use a rope or something else. More! Now I have one cage I’m tempted to buy more and keep another pair of gerbils. The cage is not like a cage but a side table. I keep it in the living room. I could keep it in my bedroom as it came with this plastic tubes for the wires so no sound comes from the bars which makes it silent! Pictures and Size Pictures don’t do the size justice, it looks tiny online and I thought I may regret it, now it’s here it’s too big for the space it was going to go so I now have to figure out where to put it. I’m glad it’s bigger though! I think one Syrian, 3 dwarfs or two gerbils is adequate for this cage.

I shopped for quite some time to find a perfect hamster cage. One that looks good in the house- almost like furniture, that has plenty of space for a hamster and that my 8 year old could easily change herself. This was perfect. I am very happy with my purchase, had a little bump in the road and the customer service was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend getting this cage. Would never buy the old wire/plastic cages again after purchasing this. I have one very happy hamster and a child who has responsibilities of easily keeping the cage tidy. Thanks again!

Very nice - one question though- gerbils like going up tube - not down. Any advice on how to help them along with that ?

I bought this cage for a Syrian hamster and am very impressed by the product. It is very sturdy a good size and looks great.

I bought this about 2 months ago, my pair of gerbils (Peanut and Frodo) love it. It only took a day or two for them to learn how to use the tube, and now happily run up and down all through the day. It is very sturdy and keeps out the inquisitive cats. The storage cabinet underneath is handy and secure. The supplied accessories are good. A lot of thought has gone into the design and it makes it easy to clean out.

Love this cage. It's so easy to clean and we can see and interact with our gerbils anytime. There's little or no mess outside the cage, which has been an issue with most other cages we've had. It's very secure and looks great too. We have the model with storage underneath. Only downside is we'd like a bigger version. We don't think it's quite enough space for 3-4 gerbils so we've had to get a larger cage which I like less.

Bought this after looking at reviews I have had 3 hamsters over a period of 10yrs mostly in cages from pets at home I'm 66 and I thought it was time for a new friend the cage is wonderful well designed and goes together very easy I did use a drill driver which made screwing together a lot easier.charlie my new friend loves it had him less than a week still waiting for him to find the tunnel that leads down to bottom compartment but fingers crossed

I am obsessed with this cage. I moved in with my boyfriend who has a cat and dog, and we were worried about keeping my hamster safe. I had a big wire cage at the time, but it was very easy to knock over and left my hamster too exposed. This cage is heavy and the wood on either side with the plastic lower part keeps her safe. We’ve had the cage for 3 months and it’s holding up well and was easy to assemble/clean! The wheel is a great size and I love that it attaches to the back of the cage and is quiet. Only thing I will say is my hamster is tiny, and the orange tube it came with was too big for her to get up and down. But this was an easy fix. I had a lot of tubes left over from her other cage and I put those in there instead. Other than that, highly recommend!!
