Overall we're really pleased with our cage. It's great to be able to keep your hamster in their familiar territory at the top of the cage, whilst you clean the bottom, and vice versa. The pull out drawer has been fantastic whilst we have been taming our hamster to feel comfortable around us. I don't think this would have been as easy with a traditional cage unless it had a drop down front? As other reviews have stated, urine does seep into the corners of the plastic box. It doesn't seep out, just into the joints. So when we clean our bottom box; we have been completely disassembling the box and reassembling. This is a little annoying, but not a great problem. Our main concern is just the general overall size of the cage. We just wish it was a little bigger for the welfare of our hamster. Our hamster also back fills his tube every morning when he goes to sleep at the bottom; this can be noisy! But this is our hamster rather than anything to do with the cage. I wish we could have an extension option or you still sold the double Qute. Or maybe a stylish 90 - 100 cm cage that was just all on one level?

This cage is so well made and great quality. I have joined 2 together to give my hamster a really big cage. My only complaints are that the wheel keeps sliding off when my hamster runs and that the water bottle will not stop dripping. He’s only been in his cage for a few hours, I have got him to climb the tube by tempting with a treat stick but he hasn’t braved it alone yet. I’m certain he will soon with no trouble at all. Definitely recommend this cage

A great cage for hampsters. Would defo ally recommend the storage below as stores all the food and extras. Has to be kept somewhere right. I wish they did a larger version as in width depth is great but 1/2 the width again would make it perfect. If I'd be happy to pay the extra. Still a fab cage. Would be 5 stars if bigger option was available

I bought this cage after having problems with previous hamster cages(hamster managed to escape from one & cat knocked over another style of cage!) I thought this one looked safer aswell as looking like a great piece of furniture! The instructions were very confusing to understand but once I'd figured them out it was actually quite easy to build! Similar to ikea furniture which I love to build! I was missing a couple of screws but was sent out replacements very quickly! I tried to phone numerous times and no one ever answered the phone but I got very satisfactory responses from Facebook messenger! I'm very happy with the cage and would definitely recommend it! My hamster is quite old now and my only concern was that the tube would be difficult for him to get up & down but he managed it straight away without any bother!

This is a fantastic cage perfect for our Syrian hamster.. With it being a combined piece of furniture as well as a cage it means the hamster (OREO) isn't just stuck away in a corner and forgotten about, but more intigrated with the family. The plastic tray means we can see her and watch her and lift it out to interact. The concept is such a good one the only draw back I can find and why I ve only given it a 4* is that the urine can leak out of the edges which is unsightly and awkward to clean have to use a cotton bud.. So easy when doing a full clean and bedding change though just take it apart pop it in the bath spay and shower it down.

It's a lovely idea for a hamster 'home' and looks great, but considering the hefty price tag, it may be worth considering cheaper alternatives. One of the clear plastic drawers arrived with a large crack in it and the main catch to the wire cage snapped off within weeks of use. It was also quite time consuming / frustrating to put together -- All in all, very much like the Ikea furniture it strives to be: Very pretty when you eventually finish putting it together, but appearances are deceptive...

We are first time pet owners within very limited space and two desperately enthusiastic small children. The cage fits on top of our built in toy cupboard and so the gerbils are at eye level. We have a constant stream of interested visitors and can take out the removable drawer for even better viewing by trusted friends. This cage works perfectly for us and has made caring for the gerbils easy and fun. Highly recommended!

Myou osy a bit more for this v other cages but worth every penny . Superior in design , easy to open, clean, and hamster loves it. My other cages had squaky wheels, a pain to open (cheap fixtures that broke) this is a dream compared to my rosewood cage

My little girl's hamster destroyed her first cage within ten days, cracking the plastic, bending wires and tipping it almost over because of her love of swinging on wires. This seemed to be more durable and my gosh it is. Heavy, solid, attractive looking and easy to put together (especially for an Ikea enthusiast like me. It took me 25 minutes with a break to drink some tea). Most importantly it is easy to clean, well ventilated and Luna (also now known as LunaTIC) loves it. I was a bit unsure how she's manage the tube but there hasn't been a single issue, she'd worked it out within an hour. I was a bit worried about laying out such a high price without a personal recommendation but I think this cage will outlast most of my other furniture. Clever and very good looking, highly recommended!

I brought this for my 2 gerbils after the pets at home one cracked. I have limited space and wished to have a sturdy and aesthetically pleasing home for them. This was the perfect choice. It took me 45 mins to assemble on my own the only minor problem I had is that the tube was too long to deep pile the bedding , so I choose remove it. They can still easily climb up to the top area. Its the perfect size. The gerbils look so happy and absolutely love the wheel, they never used the one in their old cage. It looks lovely , easy to clean and to change the food and water it's a winner all around. My cats may disagree , but they do now leave them in peace.
