Great chicken coop - Danielle,

I have wanted an eglu chicken coop for a few years. But I felt that they were expensive. I recently needed a new coop and run. I found the price was comparable to the equivalent size wooden coop and run. But the quality and ease of build far exceeds the wooden coops.

Amazing - Lucy,

I originally ordered for my hens but ended up using it for my 4 khaki Campbells and they seemed to like it.

Great product! - Tom,

We bought an Eglu Go-Up a year ago for our chickens and found it easy to construct, move around and keep clean. We also bought the fencing to provide them with more space. Knowing it was not predator-proof we always shut the hens in the Eglu at night, but a predator got at them during the day and killed them all! We have now replaced the chickens and are about to construct a walk-in run to give them more space while keeping them safe. I would echo the comment in a previous review that it is a pity the Go-Up cannot be fitted with an automatic door though- that would be a great bonus!

Not worth it, poor design - Lucy,

Everyday the chickens scrap the bedding out of the nest box when trying to lay leaving it completely bare and gets filled with droppings. I have to fill the egg box everyday with bedding, which is not practical at all. Poor design! Love the Eglu Cube that is superb!

A little disappointed - Lin,

Bought an original Omlet chicken house many years ago and delighted with that one. Bought the newer style recently but whilst some features are better (the “perch” now being one piece rather than two) I miss the side opening to check if there are eggs. The fixings weren’t that great either, especially the food compartment although everything does close. I guess the price reflects the difference.

Cosy for our bantams, so easy to clean! - Mandy, Kent,

This is the third type of chicken I've purchased in eleven years, the first two being wooden of different designs from different suppliers, but this Eglu Go is by far the easiest to clean out and our girls are so snug and warm in the pod at night. The 2m run is great for them, although they do free range (when avian flu isn't around!). Customer service was great, delivery was quick. Although I put it together myself, another pair of hands would have been helpful, but still managed. The only downside for me is that the food and water hoppers were way too big for my little hens, so still use their red and white hoppers. Rats can also squeeze through the wire so will probably secure small chicken wire over the entire run at some point for peace of mind. Other than that, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this type of coop. If my girls had thumbs, they'd be sticking them up in the air as I type this!

Our Eglu Go - Eddie,

Bought this in Oct 2021 12 weeks for a couple of chickens so how have wee found it. Building it was reasonable once the parts were separated and plan sections were followed. When assembled the House is well made and designed and with the run looks great, but adding the run was footery to build lots of clips to hold the run together, Why are the side panels not made in one piece so all you needed was a couple side then a top. We placed our run on slabs but quickly realised that when it rained the run got wet underfoot very quickly due to wind and rain and the cover only covers the top and a little of the sides, by adding a full cover over the run stopped the wind blown rain and made things a lot better for the girls, by adding two 3x2 foot slabs down the middle of the run and house meant the chickens have dry feet. In use the run is great to clean a quick daily scrap with a hoe and a hand scraper cleans the slabs in the run, the house is so easy to clean out as well daily with a deep clean a couple of times a month using a hose and brush a quick dry with a cloth brings it back to new. the two chickens are doing well; bought as ready to lay, one is now laying daily the other is just about to start laying. We let them out when we are in the garden to let them stretch their wings. Plans afoot to mack a larger enclosure using the Eglu go as the house. The Eglu chicken house is well built and well designed, a reasonable priced auto door opened would be great. the rune enclosure once built is okay but a little cramped to allow the chickens move about more and the construction has been designed for easy packing and carriage the side panels could be at least one piece, to cover supplied could or should be longer to give better rain protection and allow user to roll up the sides as required. Overall a nice House for keeping a few Chickens in a small urban garden

Sturdy, very simple small coop - Clare,

I bought this in the Black Friday sale ready for when I need to introduce new hens next year. I already have an Eglu cube Mark to so I’m already a big fan of the ease of use an Omlet coop. The Go is very quick to put together and very and easy to move around. It still feels very sturdy however. It is small I wouldn’t use it for more than three hens. The only thing that made me hesitate over the purchase is that the Omlet automatic door can’t be used with it, The ease of cleaning and very weatherproof nature of these coops make me buy a second one despite this. Omeletwould you consider designing and having an automatic door for the go coops as well please?
