I’ve tried quite a few different poultry drinkers over the years, and this is by far one of the best I’ve used. Keeping water clean can be a constant battle when you keep birds, but this has made a noticeable difference. The insulation helps keep the water cooler in hot weather and slows down freezing during colder spells. More importantly, the design does exactly what it says on the tin – it stays remarkably clean. My chickens and quail are constantly scratching, kicking bedding about and generally making a mess of everything, yet the water stays fresh far longer than with traditional drinkers. As someone building a resilient food system, anything that reduces daily maintenance while improving animal welfare is a win in my book. Less time cleaning drinkers means more time focusing on the rest of the system. Now, let’s be honest, it isn’t cheap. In fact, it’s probably one of those purchases that makes you wince slightly when you click the buy button. But after using it, I’d say it’s 100% worth the money. The build quality is excellent, it’s easy to refill, easy to clean, and it simply works. Sometimes buying the right thing once is cheaper than buying the wrong thing three times. It’s quickly become one of those bits of kit I wouldn’t want to be without. Highly recommended for anyone serious about keeping poultry properly. Five stars from me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My chickies are still young, in their 6th week, and they took to the feeder within a day or so in their 4th week when we were forced to move to the coop because they had enough of their brooder! Good thing too because I left the old chick feeders in a few days and found one morning a stuck chick trying to get the last out! I was grateful for the Omlet feeders and felt confident everyone was eating out of it. Truly it is no waste and worth the cost. I will have to move them to my coop at night and feel confident that I will have no critters because I hardware clothed the heck out of it. The only downsides are that its easily perchable and since they are still chicks (albeit big) they needed it on the ground which meant bedding in the holes which means sooo heard for me to clean that out now that I filled it with food... But thats is a temporary problem.

I have 22 chicks that are in their 6th week. I moved them to the coop in the 4th week and I made sure the feeders and waters were there along with the old ones so that it would be a "new" thing with all the "new" things all at once. It took them a few days or so to really explore the waterer and feeders. The waterer I have one with nipples and one cups because even though they are big chicks for their age, they still are new to this life and need some help figuring things out. I need to switch to nipples by winter but its so hot and they are so young that I even kept the old waterers from the brooder just in case. The only downfall to the cups is that if you aren't able to use the hose where you keep the water like I do in the coop right now, since the coop is a giant brooder, that I have to lug the heavy thing out to clean it or waste a lot of paper towels trying to scoop it clean. So I just filled it halfway in the meantime until I can get them in the run and on nipples. Oh and being so young, and still small, they can with determination stand and sit on the waterer, its cute and hilarious watching these determined chicks!

I got this for my younger chicks run but it is way too big and deep. I haven't used it yet because they are too small to drink from it. I think it will be some time before they will.

Such a simple and effective way to feed your flock! The anti-bullying ports means all of our chickens can eat at the same time without the drama and the design means we’re not experiencing any spillage from the girls who would previous forage through their food, meaning less mess and no unwanted pests in the coop! The transparent design makes it easy for us to see just how much food is in there, taking the guesswork out for us.

Simple to assemble and use. Minimal wastage from spillage and allows a good flow of food to the chickens. Easy to clean.

This watered is so very well made. I chose to use the cups and the chickens immediately used it (after a very thorough quality inspection by my head clucker)

I have 2 of the 12lb feeders - and it is night and day difference from my old feeders. My run was a mess every day and who knows how much feed I was wasting. I have tried several different variations of feeders and nothing was really mess free - I was just coming to terms with my chickens being so messy. The only thing I wish was there was a larger version of the feeder. All new chicken keepers - get this feeder first and you will not regret it!

This feeder truly eliminates wasted feed. I get to save more feed and money for my chickens. Feed lasts much longer and I can see exactly how much my chickens are eating.
