The Eglu Go Hutch is the simple, stylish, straightforward way to keep pets. Suitable for two to three guinea pigs, this will make a wonderful home for your new friends. It has been designed to enable your pet guinea pigs to express their natural instincts, offering them a fun environment that will make them feel really at home.

The Eglu Go Guinea Pig Hutch offers two main areas for your pet to explore. The house is a wonderful hideaway to eat, sleep, and snuggle up in, and the secure 1m run is perfect for a run around and some fresh air. The biggest benefit of having a hutch and enclosure in one is your pet's freedom to go in and out as it pleases, according to its own routine. As a result, your pet will be happy, relaxed, and easier to handle.

Low Maintenance Guinea Pig House

Keeping the Eglu Go Hutch in order is easy thanks to its clever design. This guinea pig house has wipe-clean surfaces and a slide-out bedding tray to make it easy to clean, and, made from energy-efficient polymers, it never needs to be treated. It is a hygienic home for your pets, naturally weather resistant, and at the end of its life it can be recycled.

The Eglu Go Hutch is easy to clean thanks to its accessible design. The slide out dropping tray makes cleaning simple

Cleaning the Eglu Go Guinea Pig Hutch is a piece of cake, and just a few minutes each week will keep it looking (and smelling) nice and fresh. The large door at the back allows easy access to the house, and the slide-out tray makes it quick to change your pet's bedding. The droppings make a great fertilizer for your plants, just add them to your compost bin. The Eglu's smooth plastic surfaces do not absorb moisture, making it more hygienic than a wooden hutch, and it can be washed all over with a quick blast of a hose or pressure washer. Easy!

Guinea pigs in the Eglu Go Hutch Enclosure Guinea pigs in the Eglu Go Hutch run

The Eglu Go Hutch can be purchased with a 1m run, suitable for two to three guinea pigs to run around in. Made from strong, steel weld mesh, it is virtually impossible for predators to break, and the removable anti-tunnel wire base will prevent predators from digging in. The unique tunnel-proof panels have been proven in rigorous testing to be fox and badger resistant, so you can be sure that your pets are safe even when you are not at home. Depending on the size of your pet, the underfloor wire may not contain them if positioned on uneven ground. You should always try to place the enclosure on the flattest ground possible. If the run does not sit completely flat you can peg it down for extra security.

The run comes in sections for easy transportation and storage, and it can be put together in minutes. Once assembled, you will find that it really looks the part, with a dark green coating that blends into the backyard beautifully. The run has spacious vertical sides, increasing in width to 38.2in and reaching a height of 28in at the end, giving your pets plenty of room to stand upright, and the run door can be opened to pet, feed, or lift your pets out regularly.

Please note that we are currently sending out two types of underfloor mesh, so depending on the size of the run you choose there is a possibility you might receive two different types of mesh. This will not affect the structure of the run or the way your pets use it. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service team.

A guinea pig eating from the hay rack in the Eglu Go house A guinea pig eating from the hay rack in the Eglu Go house

The Eglu Go Guinea Pig Hutch comes complete with a hay rack, feed bowl, and water bottle. The hay rack is mounted on the inside of the removable back panel, making it quick and easy to fill or remove. This is very handy as guinea pigs are herbivores, and they will munch through a lot of hay (in fact, it should form the main part of their diet).

Water is very important to pets too, and the water bottle fits into the hay rack inside the house. Keeping the water in the Eglu guinea pig house means that it is protected from direct sunlight, reducing the formation of algae, and the water is unlikely to freeze during Winter due to the insulation of the house.

The stainless steel dish can be placed inside the Eglu, or in the run, and it is ideal for filling with dry food or fresh vegetables. Yum!

Rabbits and Guinea pigs make wonderful pets and the Eglu Go Hutch makes keeping them fun and easy. Happy pets and happy owners all around!

Guinea pigs in the spacious guinea pig enclosure Guinea pigs in the spacious guinea pig run

The Eglu Go Hutch has a run large enough to give your pets the exercise they need to develop strong bones and stay fit and healthy, and they will love being able to go in and out of their house as they please. Unlike other runs, this comes with a built-in anti-tunnel base, so your pets will not escape, and your backyard will remain intact.

Although grass is great for rabbits and guinea pigs, it is possible to keep them if you do not have a lawn. You can keep the Eglu on a patio area, but you should provide them with a deep sand box to dig in.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Eglu Go Hutch is suitable for two to three guinea pigs.

While the strong materials and thought out design makes it extremely hard for predators to get to your pets, no hutch is 100% predator proof. Check the hutch and run regularly to make sure all features are working as intended, including latches, doors and run clips.

If you live in an area with lots of predators, including small ones like martens and weasels you might want to consider adding extra protection to your run.

While the Eglu Go is made from strong materials that will withstand sharp guinea pig teeth, no hutch is completely chew-proof. Provide your guinea pigs with plenty of hay and chew toys to keep their growing teeth in shape, and make sure they get plenty of exercise and stimulation to minimize the risk of boredom.
Yes, you can buy just the hutch/hide by itself if you already have a run. Do however note that the hutch itself is too small to be the only living space for guinea pigs, and they should never be kept in with the door closed for longer periods of time
If for any reason you're not happy with your purchase you can return it to us for a full refund within 180 days. You will need to dismantle and pack up the hutch, so it's a good idea to keep the original boxes. For your peace of mind Omlet also gives you a 2 year warranty, so please contact us if anything goes wrong and we'll do our best to fix it straight away. Please note the warranty does not cover natural weather, animal and pest damage.
The optional wheels can be used with or without a run, as they are fastened with brackets under the hutch. However, they are most effective when you have a run, as the hutch can then be moved by lifting the run.
If you have an attached run to your hutch or have positioned it in a safe enclosure, you don’t need to close the door to the hutch at night. On very cold and windy nights, or if you think there is a risk predators might be able to get to your pets, you might want to lock the door. If you do so, make sure you let your guinea pigs out of the hutch as early as possible in the morning.
Dispensing slightly on where you live and how cold it gets, the hutch is designed as an all-year home, and the insulation will keep your guinea pigs cozy in winter. In fact, most guinea pigs are very good at handling colder temperatures and will gradually grow a thicker coat in winter and moving them in and out is likely to be more harmful. You can help them by adding more hay and straw to the hutch, provide shelter with covers and hides on the run, or add a Extreme Temperature Jacketto the Eglu Go.
Baby guinea pigs should be kept indoors until they are approximately 6-8 weeks old. Slowly introduce them to the outdoor world during a week or two, starting with 15 minutes and then gradually extending the time every day. This is to make sure their bodies get used to the outdoor temperature, as well as letting their tummies adapt to eating grass.

Fantastic hutch - Bromley,

This hutch is great, keeps my mind at ease for the safety and the warmth of my piggies. The only downside is that it was slightly fiddly trying to put the run together and the instructions could’ve been slightly more clearer

Excellent hutch - An Omleteer, NSW,

This is the best hutch on the market in terms of funtionality and quality. The back door of the hutch does catch a bit if there is even the slightest uneven ground, which is a bit annoying. Other than that very happy with it.

This is great for an outdoor guinea pig hutch! - Danielle, Maryland,

I love that this hutch doesn't have any wire or holes for them to hurt their feet on. It's easy to clean and it provides a dry, warm space for our guinea pigs in the winter. We attached this to their larger outdoor run, and I stuff it with fresh hay for colder days so they can snuggle into the warm area. You do need to be careful to get the hutch door on properly... this is worth double checking if you have kids who help with cleaning. The bottom of the hutch door fits into a hinge like gap at the bottom. It's not complicated, but occasionally we don't get it on correctly. I always double check the door before we are done. This isn't an issue with guinea pigs (and ours are inside a garden and surrounded by electric fencing), but a larger animal like a chicken or rabbit might push the door open if it wasn't properly closed). The swinging door is easy to open and close. We close the guinea pigs out of the hutch (and in their run) while we clean the hutch. This helps so we don't accidentally have an escapee. Putting this hutch together initially isn't my favorite job (I've done it twice as we have a hutch for our rabbit too), but I'm getting faster. This is the BEST hutch for kids to clean honestly. It's easy and straight forward. It's easy to wash down.

Best on the market, but the design could be improved - Emma,

Bought two of these hutches a few years ago and have LOTS of experience using them. The best you can get on the market in terms of keeping piggies warm and giving them lots of nice space and a lasting product, much better than wood, but.... a few gripes! 1. Each little piece of the run has to be attached by dozens and dozens of plastic clickable attachments, which hurt your fingers after a couple of hours of assembly (yes, it will take you an afternoon especially anything bigger than the 1 metre run). The floor of the run comes as a nicely pre-assembled piece, why can't the rest come like that (I assume because none of the rest of the run is square...)? It all feels a little flimsy when you move the run (and hutch because they can't be detached from each other) around the garden to give piggies fresh grass and this can only really be done by two people, otherwise you have to drag the whole thing across the grass and it's heavy! 2. There is no quick release button to detach the hutch from the run, which I just assumed would be standard. This causes a few problems (related to the point above), one of them being that poop and straw get caught in the area just outside the hutch door where it meets the run and the ONLY way you can get rid of this (it goes solid with the piggies feet treading on it all the time) is by crawling into the hutch yourself (cobwebs n all!) and out into the run, easier said than done for some people! 3. The removable base of the hutch doesn't *quite* fit into the top of a wheelie bin, which is absolutely maddening because it means you have to remove the dirty bedding by hand first then chuck the rest into the green wheelie bin and some always spills on top of me (eew). It would just have required a bit more forethought from the designer to make this the perfect size to get into the top of the bin and help all of us owners out. 4. The back door sometime sticks and is difficult to get into place to lock, we can't work out why this is. 5. Nothing is SQUARE!!! I assume this is done on purpose to stop people buying products that aren't Eglu related, but it's quite a drag. If you want to enlarge your piggies property by adding runs that have straight edges, forget it. The Eglu has slanting edges everywhere. We've had so many escapees over the years as they sneak out of the little gaps that are created where the edges of the runs don't meet. 6. If your piggy refuses to return to its hutch (where you can lock it in and catch it from the back door) it will be almost impossible to catch him or her because there's only one door into the run from the front. Unless of course you climb into the run itself. 7. Piggies really dislike walking on the mesh floor, I think it hurts their tiny paws. They always seem to plan their route across to avoid stepping on the wire. I realise this is because rabbits dig, but guinea pigs don't so there's no need for a wire floor... Having said all that, this is the best you can get on the market, I just wish it was better / more simply designed.

Omlet Says: Hi Emma, Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed review. We welcome feedback, so this has been passed on to our Product Design team for them to take into consideration when making any changes to the design and future products. One recommendation that we would give if you wished to have another point of access nearer to the hutch front door would be to add an extra door on the run. More information related to this product can be found here. The issue that you described related to the back door being sticky sounds unusual. Don't hesitate to provide us with more details and photos by email to allow us to try to understand what is happening and resolve this issue with you. In addition, there should not be little gaps as the edges of the run should meet and be secured using the clips, so we would be able to look into this with you as well if you'd like. Finally, to make the ground more confortable, we would recommend ensuring that the underfloor mesh is well buried into the ground. Otherwise, you have the possibility to switch the underfloor mesh for our anti-tunnel skirt. If this possibility would interest you, please contact us and we can assist you with ordering it. Yours, The Omlet Customer Services team

6 Ft run - Shanna, Kansas,

I have 36 guinea pigs and felt this was safe. My herd get to rotate outside time in their eglu. I want to purchase 2 more when I have the funds,so they no longer have to take turns but instead, all go out at the same time. I love not worrying about the hawks and neighborhood cats.
