All birds are extremely vulnerable to sickness & death from air fresheners, especially electric ones, also electric chemical insecticide. (plug in mozzarella repellers) spray cooking oils and air conditioners. Another huge mistake people make especially with exotic parrots is raising them in non tropical areas, eg Sun Conures come from the hot steamy jungles of Brazil, they suffer terribly from cold in other areas because they just don’t have the insulating down to cope with anything under 20c.

My yellow head amazon parrot makes sudden moves with his head. Throwing it backwards, and/or around. Is this normal? I've has him for one year and I've never seen him do this before. Stress maybe?

I have bought a 6months old male alexandrine parrot few days back. Today i noticed a hard shell like lump on the edge of its tongue, due to that it eats really slowly and uncomfortably. Its wings are saggy and doesn't walk properly. Seems like it has diarrhoea too. Its my first time petting a parrot. I dont know what should i do. Please let me know if the tongue thing is normal or it will be okay as it grows as an adult.
