Dog Parasites

Parasites have evolved to take advantage of other creatures, taking up residence like unwanted lodgers, and thriving at the host’s expense. They are found in most animals, and certainly in all mammals.

Parasites will live just about anywhere they can on your dog. They are small, even microscopic sometimes, and some can spread to humans, which is another reason why it’s so important that they are kept under control.

Fortunately, with early recognition and treatment most parasites are relatively harmless. And, when you think about it, they are pretty incredible examples of the sheer opportunism of evolution!
