I have 2 brown pullets, one blue girl, in one coop, gold silky ,white silky and 9months brown pullet in another, all lay well, but the smallest is the gold silky and she's in charge.

i have 3 chickens 2 hens(a ix worth and a hybrid)and a pullet (maran)i really enjoy keeping chickens and going down ever day getting the eggs. :)

I remember my Mamaw scolding me and telling me to leave the hens be, that it was best for them to be wild and they stayed helathier that way. I feel this was probably a myth but now that I've been considering raising layers, I'd like input on whether she may have been correct in some fashion.

I had 3 chickens and now have 3 babies Chicken Tikka Chicken Snowy and Chicken Lady Gaga as named by my 7 year old! They are so much fun and really friendly. They love a cuddle!
