I have two birds brought as siblings for about 4-5 months. Now they have three eggs. She has started since 3/29,then on 3/31 and the most recent 4/2/21...She's been nesting them without a nesting house.I brought a bigger cage and have not able to move them because I am concern with the eggs. What should I do?

Do you have to have a nesting box for the female to lay eggs.

I am a 74 year old widow who only drives in my small town. My male parakeet (approximately 1-1/2 yrs old) got spooked in his cage and damaged his right wing, We only have one vet in town and she does not treat birds, He dislodged two feathers on his right wing both white tipped in black, He is eating normally, and chirps to the female in a separate cage, and plays. He is blue. However, when he tries to fly in the cage he drops like a stone, He realizes he cannot fly and either hops on perches or food and water bowls or climbs in the cage, Will the damaged feathers eventually fall out and new feathers arrive, The nearest vet that treats birds is over 100 miles away and with the coronoa virus outbreak a friend taking me will not happen, Will my Huey be okay?

This morning I saw my budgie’s four eggs had been tossed to the bottom of the cage. She has been sitting on them for about two weeks. What would make her do this? Should I leave them in the cage or discard them? I don’t really want my two birds to breed, would it be cruel to remove the ceramic birdbath she’s nested in so she doesn’t lay more eggs?

I have 2 budgies , male and female. She surprised me one day and ended up laying 3 eggs in her log, They ended up being not fertile. I went and bought a nesting house and in the 30 minutes it took for me to run to by the house she laid a 4th egg.Today i looked in the nesting house and the egg was eaten. Not sure by who, momma or daddy bird. I cleaned everything up and left the house connected because she looks round like she is gonna have a few more, Will she eat the next egg or eggs she lays? Should I be concerned?

I have one male bird and two female birds. The one female bird is in the nesting house, nesting the eggs right now. If they do hatch, and when they do, should I take the female bird and her babies to a different cage, or should I move any of the birds, or leave them put

Hi! My budgies have had 4 eggs so far.. about a month ago the female laid one egg..she tipped nest and egg fell and broke. so, no idea if it was fertile. So now I am very excited , about every 2 days she laid and egg and has been very attentive to the eggs. She keeps the male out.. At least I think that is whats happening or, he is feeding her and being lovey dovey?? Can I leave the male in the the cage after eggs hatch? Thank you!!!
