I used to raise and breed parakerts( budgies) way back when I was in the Philippines. I always buy different mutations and colors to cross breed my birds. I’ve been looking for the red ones but rare to fin or none at all. I was dreaming to get the Australian grass parakeets with different color combinations( I love the seven colors mutation) but that’s impossible to impoety from Australia. When I left For the US I started giving all my birds to who ever wants it- to my relatives - the best colors. The ugliest colors the yellow ones I gave it to my neighbor. To my surprise before I left the Philippines my neighbor called me that the chicks came out with red color-pure red. Wow and wow. I told them that’s rare and commands a very high price and sought upon by the Chinese people. I was not able to follow it up since I already left for the US.

I was surprised to find 5 baby parakeets in the nesting box,, Mom and Dad are excellent parents. First time, I have an assortment of colors. One beautiful pewter grey! I have never seem one this color

I have a parakeet that's mainly yellow with a green to white belly (named Limona, fancy for lemon). I also have an albino one named Nox (Latin for night/darkness)!

I have two budgies. Male dominant white but does have touch of blue. Female more rainbow, although I'm sure it's not by breeders definition. What colour babies should I expect? Picture in link. https://prnt.sc/L0mBW3IJCf_h
