Yes, I had a budgie about that age and she /he was getting lonely so we brought them another budgie .

my budgies have recently had babies and only one survived out of the two because the other had seriously splayed legs. the baby that survived is happy and joins the parents on the perch. the mother will often preen the baby's head.

Our mated parakeets have a 9 day old baby, everything was going good and then all of the sudden the male and female started fighting when the male tried to feed the female. What's going on, what can we do? Don't want to separate them because he does provide a lot of food. Is it not enough? Thank you

I have two new budgies and all they do is sit at the bottom of the cage and try to stay in corners and always try to go over or under one another to be closest to the cage wall it’s very strange is it normal?

what is your best advice on parakeets?

Why does my make parakeet keep straching his neck for

Claire, 22 November 2018

My budgies will rub their beaks together by bobbing their heads. Though, they do not groom each other. They both run back and fourth on the perch together and will sort of play tag. They usually sleep on different parts of the cage but they always talk to each other in the morning. They occasionally screen at each other when one bird wants to do something the other bird is doing but can't. When out of the cage, they usually fly every where together but sometimes, they will be on opposite sides of the house. They don't feed each other or preen each other. They do not hurt each other but I am confused. Do they like each other or not?

My Bungie will lower his head in his feed bowl or on his scuttle bone pressing his forehead and chuckle.... He doesn't eat or pick on his bone, just stands there singing or chuckling, or crying. I've watched him do it for nearly 5 minutes straight sometimes less, sometimes more. I worry maybe something is wrong? Any ideas?
