Excellent article, covers important information in an easy to read and understand manner! Thank you! Also good reminders for things I’ve forgotten and new things I didn’t know. I grew up with budgies and reading this article also explains behaviors the bigger birds display

After a very hot day we found one of the babies fell out of the nesting box and looked like he was dying. We brought him in the house and today (6 weeks later) he is healthy. But, he continually spins around. On the floor or on the perch. Almost all day. When he stops, his head keeps going as if he is watching a fast car race. Then he starts again. It’s exhausting watching him. Any thoughts on why?

My male budgie leaves the feeder and the cuttle bone each time the female arrives. she sometimes chases him away from the food. occasionally at night she flaps her wings and seems to fly around the cage likes she is irritated with the male. why is this? They don't fight and sit side by side most of the time.

My budgie sometimes slightly puts its wings out. He doesn't totally open them , but just sorta hovers his wings over his body. Sometimes I think he is just hot in the summer , so i put a fan in the room that he is in. But in the winter he does it and i don't know why. I have made him warm. I don't think it is to hot. I just was wondering if there was a reason that my budgie does that.

My budgie is about 2 years old, recently he really enjoys to bury himself into my hair and just stays there most of the time he is out of his cage. Every time I move him away he flies straight back and nestles in again, does anyone know why he does this? is he okay?

I just got 2 budgies 3 days ago. They don't mind me touching them too much, but when is it safe to try taming them? Yo Cool No Tools.

Sometimes my two budgies with grind their beaks together and one with move it’s neck up and down like it’s throwing up, I want to know if they are just feeding each other just to be safe

i have just recently got a budgie at 12 weeks he is sixteen weeks and into the 3rd day . we started putting our hands in the cage because we want to tame him. after a couple of hours he was hopping onto our fingers and evens my 7 old sons everything was fine till a couple of days ago when he has started pecking our fingers when we put our hands in which he has never done. the only thing that has changed is that we have put a new toy in his cage and its like a chew hanging toy so i dont know if its that or its something else.

One of my birds crouches low when I walk close too the cage. I don't try to get him out of the cage, but he still does this. Almost looks like the penguin in Batman! Haha But it's concerning. Am I doing something to make him react in this way?
